The next day a reporter was on scene and the Solo pit was still on the side walk. I wonder if people didnt know what it was.
I was tempted to drive there to get it but didnt want to get in trouble.
I posted a comment on their Facebook ad asking if I could still get the discount. They deleted the comment. I asked again the next day thinking maybe I didn't post it correctly. The deleted that comment too. No response at all.
That is disappointing and kind of irked me. This plus the fact Solo is made in China made me look to Breeo. Breeo is made in the USA and I can cook steaks and burgers right on the edge of the pit. Check out the 'Breeo great grate' video too. Sold!

It's got it's place in ones "gear arsenal" but it's nice not having to keep after gas/propane etc
I imagine these work well based on the design

I was already budgeting around $100 on a gift for my best friend this year, but now with this deal I get a free Solo Stove Campfire out of the deal!
The Biolite 2 looks really cool, but the 50w battery charger is a little weak. It would take over 6 hours to charge a 12v 26ah battery. Because of that, I'd avoid taking the battery with me to save on the extra weight, which makes the Biolite almost the same as this Solo camp stove.
I'll stick with my modified charcoal chimney and solar power bank. It's lighter, cheaper, and isn't a 1-trick pony.
