For anyone wondering, most of the dell.com deals are for the U3419W for around ~$600 + $200 gift card, which has thinner bezels and USB-C. I personally prefer the U3419W over this one for the USB-C docking and charging feature.
Seriously good monitor for everyday productivity and coding. Just a real joy to use. All time low price, without the hassle of having to deal with dell gift cards from recent promotions.
Built in KVM at this price - there is a lot of utility here.

I bought this 5 years ago when ultrawides were new. I am not a fan of 21:9 for productivity, and for gaming, native support in games is there, but not always. For competitive games? Forget about it. I think 32:9 is the sweet spot for ultrawides or the classic dual 16:9.
Not a fan of these either for productivity & coding.... I think dual 16:10 monitors are better.... but if you can only have one monitor or you mostly use expansive spreadsheets then this would probably be one of the better choices along with larger 4K monitors.

How did this compare to the 399 lg at Costco? This one is IPS vs VA for the LG...... Which one is better...

edit: for work from home, not gaming

Old monitor.
While its an older version of this monitor, I'm certain all these being sold are new and recent manufacturer. Having done a bit of research looking at the 3419 and this one, the 15 and 19 use the same screen and panel so one isn't going to get any better image quality with the 3419. I couldn't get the USB-C charging and connectivity working properly with my MacBook pros', even after installing the FW patch and doing some other work around. so, I ended up with this one at about 175$ less (at the time) than the 3419. for this price, I'm almost thinking of just buying another one. Wish Dell would have this price, so I could use a 100$ off coupon. Might try for a price match to amazon and see.

I have a 3417 and 3419, both great as others have said. Great deal at this price and wouldn't be shocked if they're using the same panel. Also, the 2019 doesn't come with the KVM like this one...a great feature.
You sure? That's not what the manual says.

Just bought one.

Searching for hours the past couple of weeks trying to figure out which size, dual/single, ultrawide, etc.

Mainly use for programming, not gaming, so heard IPS is good compared to VA panels.
Currently have 2 24" 1080P, so I know this is a huge difference.
Was contemplating 2 27" 1440 (same as this Dell) b/c more screen size overall and seems 2 monitors are more productive.

But I guess I can use this 34" and then the old 24" 1080P on the side.
Also seems 27-34" 4K almost defeats the purpose b/c you have to scale the text up since default is just too small to read....but the extra vertical space would definitely be nice.

Anyone else have similar setup where 1440 next to 1080P? Hope text doesn't look too different.

So many different monitors...its so hard to decide.....ughhhh.

Now time to look for a monitor arm.

Bought this last year for ~$475 and love it. I had it at work and wanted one for home. I couldn't recommend it enough for work purposes.

I already have the Dell 34 and I love it. I bought a 35 from costco too. now I'm second guessing. one thing to not is the Dell is 3800R (not much of a curve) and LG is !800
