I'm not sure if it's clear to everyone that this deal applies to all the Breville espresso machines that Williams-Sonoma sells.

Here's the rundown:

Bambino — $240
Bambino Plus — $320
Barista Express — $480
Barista Pro — $560
Barista Touch — $720
Oracle Touch — $2,000

Fantastic deals, in my opinion.

My personal experience is with the Bambino Plus, which I think is a great little machine. With this discount you could pair a Bambino or Bambino Plus with a very nice grinder for a total price in the $400 to $600 range. The cool thing about that is you're going to be able to get a much nicer grinder than the one that they put in the Express and the Pro — which is considered the weak link in those particular machines. You're going to hear the experts say again and again that the key to getting good espresso is a nice grinder. I've also never been crazy about having the grinder and the espresso machine combined into one unit. It sorts of limits your flexibility, but that's just me.

Really though, I don't think you can go wrong with any of these machines. It all depends on your budget.
Works! Just used The code to buy the Breville Barista Express for $480 😄🎉
This might be the cheapest price ever. Hoppin on this before it goes, will research afterwards lol.

Edit: The Touch is Wirecutter's upgrade recommendation. The steam wand is top notch and that's something I've had issues with in the past with other machines, so I'm sticking with it.

Damn. Already own the express but been wanting to get the dual boiler. Anyone have any experience with the dual boiler?
I don't have one but there are loads of information on reddit. General consensus is, that it's a good machine with a very hard to beat performance/cost ratio.

The cons are that the steamer isn't much better than a hx machines (although there are conflicting reports) and reliability/longevity might be questionable after the warranty period.

Expensive tastes. I make the best espresso I have ever had with a 7 dollar mokapot. Frothy steamed milk with a french press and a 16 dollar grinder that I've had for 10 years. I couldn't imagine spending that much to make espresso.
You're not really making espresso in that moka pot. What you're drinking is basically strong coffee diluted with milk.

No the touch is really only more convenient for the Milk frothing which it does incredibly well and it's pretty much automatic.

The grinder is just good enough but you'll be using the very lowest settings and a scale to get great shots!

For any of these machines a quality scale is critical! Not all scales are equal and you need one that can measure to a tenth of a gram, like the Brewista scale (probably the best for the price)!

Once you measure your grind by mass and then the pour by mass, you'll get far more tasty and consistent shots out of all these machines! This is the level of control that a super-automatic does not offer! A 2:1 recipe works well for the Barista Touch, but for Lavazza we get even smoother chocolaty notes with their recipe on the bag 15g grinds for 25g liquid in the cup!

I tried using my Barista touch for a month and almost returned it because flavors were all over the map, but the Brewista scale changed everything!

I've loved my touch ever since....and it paid for itself in 1.5 years and now I still enjoy every morning!

Key benefits of the Breville Touch are super fast startup time, excellent frothing, auto purge, ability to saved settings for people, self cleaning process & on screen instructions, etc.

Cons are the grinder (just adequate, use the very lowest setting), & water heat level (barely adequate for espresso; put it on MAX in the settings).
Thx- super helpful!

Used the dual boiler for 4 years. LOVE that I can make espresso & steam milk at the same time.
Other than being able to do both at the same time, any other benefits? Do you think it can pull a better shot than the express?

How's the express been treating you? Would you recommend it?
Love it. First one lasted 7 yrs, daily use. Sent it in to breville and they sent me a refurb that looked new, cost about 320 or something like that

I felt this post get abnormally high vote for no good reason.
Those machine were never 1.6k or whatever it says. Sure you still getting 200 dollar off, but you are also paying 200 more for a touch screen vs express.
I mean if this has a dual boiler or a better weighted grinder. Then I see why you want to spend extra money, but just for a touch screen?

Sigh... so torn on Pro. I have the express and it's great and recommended it to a lot of people. Slow, but it's been work horse. Too bad they don't have the Pro in cherry red, but the startup time and upgraded steam wand might be worth it.

You guys don't need touch, it's also more prone to potentially break.

For those that want to compare models. https://youtu.be/pupR09CzRxI

Lol idk who Williams Sonoma is trying to fool with that suggested price and false advertising 50% off. How do deceptive companies like this NOT get fined?

Finally pulled the trigger on express. Thank you so much for posting this deal! I've had a delonghi magnifica super automatic for a couple years now. It's affordable, no fuss and been the workhorse in the house, but oh man was it loud...Can't wait to try out the breville!

That's a comparison of superautomatic machines. Totally different thing than the Breville espresso machines we're looking at here. You're simply going to get better espresso using a Breville. Nothing wrong with a superauto, but they're designed more for user convenience than for quality espresso.
