I have a ninja foodi and never switched the lids. I use it as an air fryer since you can open while cooking. I just use instant pot for pressure cooker. It's easier just to use them separate.
Regardless, for $60 you can get a pretty nice air fryer, so why go this route. You're not gonna save much space; the machine is meant to be a pressure cooker.....it's like putting all terrain tires on a civic and expecting to go off roading.
