How disappointed will I be moving from a traditional 5.1 to something like this? The new house probably won't be conducive to a normal setup.

I have this system and I can confirm that it is excellent. It should be noted that the rear speakers are wired to the subwoofer with very long cables, they are not wireless as you may expect from the picture. The 4K HDMI Passthrough works very well with eARC and Dolby Atmos content comes through clear. The bass in the system is very impressive for a 6" subwoofer although it can be a little "boomy" and on very low frequency bass I have gotten some light rattling within the contained box.

All said and done, this was a great deal when I got it for BF for $150, and even at $200 I think you'll get your money's worth. I returned the $300 LG 5.1.2 system when the rear right speaker was buzzing and went with this system from BB instead and have been very happy. I recommend turning off the Eco-mode though, as there is a considerable delay from turning it on to having it actually output sound.
I think you r confused with the Vizio 5.1 system (vizio v51-h6). This is M series not V series. I don't think this was on sale for $150. I also bought V51-h6 from Costco on BF for $150 not the M series.

No, it's not...there is an in-store flyer as well with this in it. It's either 160 or 170 in store.

It's virtual. So kind of like a faux atmos.

It originally had an msrp of $249. But has regularly been on sale for $199 since launch. Black Friday it went down to $149
I believe that was V series. This is M series only available currently at Costco. I got it last month for $299

For those that want a true ATMOS up firing Soundbar Sam's Club.com has back in stock the 2018 predecessor to this M51a-H6. That is Visio model SB36512-F6 which was highly reviewed by RTINGS. $279.00. This model was OOS on Sam's Club.com for a couple weeks at which time Sams was selling briefly there version of the M51a-H6 for $299 BUT it is the version with true up firing speakers. Apparently Visio found more inventory of the older model for Sam's to clear out so the new model stopped being offered. I suspect the new M51a-H6 model will become available again soon enough. Who knows if Sam's "true" ATMOS M51a-H6 will ever hit the $200 (or less in store) price point that Costco will have next week on the "faux" Atmos version. My understanding is that this new M51a-H6 loses chromecast, wifi and ethernet but adds an upgraded remote vs SB36512-F6.

Edit: I'm not sure if anyone is following this thread but I need to clarify based on new information on what I've been mentioning in terms of the true Dolby Atmos version of the new M51a-H6. This version is 11 (5.1.2) speakers versus the "Virtual" Atmos 9 speaker M51a-H6 at Costco (5.1) Post number 12 on this thread has a link to Vizio for the 11 speaker version of this model (true up firing speakers) That Vizio page has a link to find a retailer which points to Sam's club currently out of stock $299. About 10 days ago when Sam's club had stock of the new model I'm 99% sure that what I saw on there website was a photo of the 11 speaker model. Now Sams Club.com is showing a photo of the nine speaker model identical to what Costco has and will be putting on sale. No idea if the 11 speaker model is truly available anywhere.

I've had the SB36512-F6 with true upfiring speakers in the soundbar for about a year. It sounds excellent for movies, shows and games that support Atmos.

I have it hooked up via HDMI ARC from my LG Oled C9. The only minor issue I've had is there is no sound from the soundbar for a few seconds after turning the TV on, but I've gotten used to it. I highly recommend it!

Is this a new ad price? Because the current ad goes thru the 24th and it's not on there.

It appears the person posting on this thread that this Soundbar is going to be $199 on-line and cheaper in club was not correct. It is showing on-line only $199. The lower level V line is showing on sale at $159.99 on-line and in club. Maybe that is how they got discombobulated. They were not the only one on this thread that was confused and got the V line mixed up with the H line. I'm hoping before this sale ends that some professional reviews come out so I can gauge the effectiveness of "virtual" Dolby Atmos vs true Atmos (up firing speakers)

This is probably hard to answer but anyone know if Sam's club might be matching this sale?

https://www.samsclub.com/p/vizio-...product_11

They do list this exact soundbar on their site but currently showing out of stock. I know sometimes they match Costco sales so hoping they do.

This is online only and not sold in stores yet. It became available online towards the end of December. I physically went to the store to make sure. They have the model that is a step down in store.
