Been dying to get this.
Was in financial planning for 15+ years and as far as it goes, the will is essentially the document that's processed during probate.
I spent about 3k on my own will and plan (no trust) and it was a total waste. There are attorneys who charge $200 for a boilerplate will or sites like NOLO that can do the same thing. There's no magic language any of them have that will spare your family any of the government-mandated processes for medium-sized estates.
For SMALL estates, probate can often be bypassed regardless of will, and for LARGE estates (~2m+ depending on assets and/or complexity) then you need some documents compiled by a pro because you can avoid costs and headaches. Also considerations if you have kids with special needs or intend to disinherit someone.
I designed my own estate to be mostly cash, but could use some updating because we had a kid.

The WORST thing you can do is to leave several million to a minor child without a trust. Don't forget your assets and both spouses' life insurance piles up in this.
At 18, they give the kid the money, he/she does one of two things:
1) buys a ferrari and dies in it
2) gets married (to someone much older), has a kid, then immediately gets divorced and half your money goes to Bambi.
In my opinion, the outcomes are actually worse for that than leaving your kid without any money at all most of the time, provided there's a reasonable guardian (I've seen it 10 or so times and all the worst outcomes involved lots of money and a Bambi)
Another option, this organization provides wills

I finally got ahold of Nolo. They say this code was given to a private business and then someone from that business leaked it out onto the web. So I have no idea why it was published here if it was a leak. The rep couldn't answer why, if it wasn't a coupon code intended for the public, they just forced people with that business' email address to sign up for an account (like any other sane business would use to protect against this).
A considerable amount of coupon codes (not all) shared and posted on slickdeals are most probably leaked and not intended to be shared.

To bypass probate, wouldn't one need a trust and appointed executors? Without a trust, is avoidance even possible, regardless of how smart the will is written.(Not speaking of joint/survivorship bank accounts, but physical estate/asset with both joint adult owners passing on)
Nope. As I indicated, this is available only to SMALL estates.
