I would never trust this with anything north of 315..
I bought this rack about a month ago for $275. Wish I could get the price adjustment. Overall I am happy with this unit. Bench 225/squat 225 without feeling any safety concerns. I wouldn't trust anything more then 300. Also it's a pretty lightweight unit. I slide it around to fit the cars in the garage. Also add resistance bands to the pull-up bar. The unit does need to be weighted down with plates on the stems otherwise it tips over when using bands to pull one way or the other. I weigh 200 lbs/6 foot and pull-up bar is solid. I have it at the highest setting and can still touch the floor on my tip toes. Easy assembly. Would recommend the buy if u are looking for cheap, compact, easy to move around.
I'm shocked at the 800+ lb weight rating. A lot of these racks only claim 300 lbs or so, and they look far sturdier. I know looks can be deceiving but still...

Does anyone know if there is a good rack that also has a pulley system?
I struggled with this question and never found one. I ended up going with adding a spud inc system to my rogue rack.

Will this be good for bicep curls also?
Absolutely! And even better... you can use this at home for bicep curls and not be pissing off the people waiting to use a rack for squats or bench press. Of course, I make this statement assuming you were being sarcastic and this is the joke you were making.

i'm guesing it doesn't include any weight plates?
They never do. That'll be the hard part getting plates at a reasonable price.

I have been looking at the PRX performance racks... this seems like a gimmick.

there isnt one. researched for months.

the best add on pulley system is the titan fitness one. can be mounted to a wall if you dont have a compatible rack. currently out of stock but they had them a few weeks ago. they have a shorter version as well (its only a few inches shorter.

Not looking to add more than the 3 45lb plates to the olympic 45lb bar. Is this fine for now or is there better or safer ones for the price
since you cant evenly place 3 plates on an olympic bar, im assuming you mean 3 on each side. not sure what you are doing with that much weight. should be ok for benching 315. squatting 315 is going to be dangerous because you cant squat close enough to use the spotter arms. going to need to stay far from failure zone to be safe. if you gently rack 315 it should be fine. dropping 315 wont be safe.

Yeah, I could only read it that way too, because the floor could hold it just as good as the rack.

I would snatch this up if I hadn't just bought their power cage. Much happier having full spotter arms, but I think the space saving this offers will be good for most people. Including plate storage and band pegs is a really nice often overlooked feature.

It's a nice solid price for a decent looking rack. My buddy and I been using a Cap Fuel Pureformance model (Currently $160 atWalmart [walmart.com] ), which is a similar 2in x 2in square tubing, several bolts of assembly and basic style design. Rated at 500lbs. That thing has the post in multi-piece, so the whole height wasn't in one long piece. And we push that thing hard; he had well over 400lbs on it at times and it survived. I think 500lbs is the dang near limit.

That said, it seems this one does have one-piece posts, which may lend to it be studier. I like the way it connect the posts to the center to provide a base vs the Fuel. I don't like the short spotter arms. It seems like a good value for a home gym. If it's the same gauge steel as the fuel rack, I don't think 400lbs will be a problem. the 800lb racking seems doubtful, but if it's a decent thickness I'd have no trouble with it. Had the fuel back in April at the start of the lockdown, used it 5x a week. We outgrew it. Sold it to someone else needing a rack. Upgraded to a Titan T-3. I'd be cool with recommending this to someone needing a home setup. I'd know what the Fuel can do, and know it will work for most people with a barbell, but I feel like I'd like the Sunny over the Fuel. The fuel loading pegs were in the way when you wanted to drop spotter/j-hooks low, and they open the same side so you had to unload storage. This looks doesn't look to have the same problem.

i own this, i bought this in the height of covid so i just grabbed what i could. i also use this a ton. here are my thoughts;

1. the safety arms are short. but its not horrible. depending on the bench you get to go with this be wary that may need to raise of drop the bench youre using to be safe during bench press.
2. half racks are whack. i wouldnt buy this again, but i will use it for a few years. it can support "800lb" but i find its much more sturdy when you have plates on the sides to weigh it down. i put 315 on it and it seems fine. i dont plan on going much higher than 405 so i think it works for me.
3. the holes are not standard 1/2" or 5/8" this will make finding attachments impossible, i made custom stuff with 3/8" and it works.
4. buy another rack where you can have a lat pulldown attachment. i miss that part the most from going to the gym despite a pulley system i improvised.

i would say this is more of a beginner's half power rack jr. it gets the job done and the price is pretty decent. you cant really upgrade anything on it, but it got the job done during covid.
