I'll bite but I do loath supporting either H&R or TurboTax. They spend millions lobbying Politicians to keep the tax code at a level of complexity that keeps them relevant.
Weren't we supposed to get tax reform so we could do our taxes on a 3x5 card?

Last FP deal for Deluxe + State was $21.49. Ugh. With all my digital credits, I wish Amazon would match. I may just grab it from Newegg instead.

What's the additional cost to efile the fed return? I think state was $20 last year. Anyone know if fed is the same? If we are going to efile is it better to wait with a deal that has that included?

Edit - nm I see fed includes efile it just wasn't in the name like I'm used to

I think this is the lowest price I have seen. Good deal, OP. Purchased Deluxe+State for $19.07 with tax before 5% from PayPal+Chase.

I just added it on Amazon and am able to apply my digital credits. So it seems like you can use digital credits for digital software..

I need to file 2 state taxes due to moving this year. Can I buy the deluxe + state twice and prepare 2 separate states that way for cheaper? Instead of paying $40 for the second state.

The physical version don't include a CD, the download code is mailed to you only.

So, don't make a difference between download only and physical version - so dumb. But still good price, thanks.

Just an FYI: There are no 'discs' this year. The H&R Block 2020 'physical version' comes in a box that contains a PHYSICAL KEY CARD (only) with download code and activation instructions delivered to your physical mailing address.

Great price, though (about 3 bucks cheaper than when I got mine from Newegg a couple week ago).

I had used TurboTax for years, but switched to H&R two year ago. I would say TurboTax have better user interface, but fundamentally both are same. When I switched two year ago, I run TurboTax (online) and H&R, and the total tax return is same. So I switch to H&R since it is much cheaper (to do stock, TurboTax requires to upgrade to premium, but H&R deluxe can do it)

Your deal was not pay to play like this Newegg deal most likely is.

Still a good price. It would be nice if the US tax system was not so convoluted and full of special exemptions that normal folks would not need to purchase pricey software like this one or Turbotax to file a return.
