About this game:
A corruptive presence has invaded the Federal Bureau of Control…Only you have the power to stop it. The world is now your weapon in an epic fight to annihilate an ominous enemy through deep and unpredictable environments. Containment has failed, humanity is at stake. Will you regain control?
Winner of over 80 awards, Control is a visually stunning third-person action-adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Blending open-ended environments with the signature world-building and storytelling of renowned developer, Remedy Entertainment, Control presents an expansive and intensely gratifying gameplay experience.
For both of these games, you have to like narrative driven stories. Quantum Break goes as far in that direction as to have little tv-episode videos between some of the levels (the content of which is partially dictated by your decisions in-game).
The actual combat mechanics in the game are at best forgettable, and at worst annoying. I personally found the "boss fight" sections to be chores more than a fun challenge, but that may come down to personal taste. If the idea of a mini series with video game elements appeals, though, it's definitely worthwhile.
Free on Xbox Game Pass for those who have it.
Thanks! Bought it to play on my Nvidia Shield

Is it worth playing in an "easy" mode for the story then?

I finally beat this today, and bought it on release from Epic. Listen, I can understand people liking this a lot, but it to me was incredibly tedious and boring. You might be better off watching a playthrough and skipping to the good parts. The last 3 missions were pretty good, but the ones leading up to it were incredibly boring to me, largely due to the setting, which has you running around in a same-y looking office building for hours in circles. But maybe that's your thing.

I've played it on easy and enjoyed it very much.
