Steps
Link to Samsung.com to create an account if you don't have one
Will not work on desktop only can locate on mobile app
Locate Samsung members app (app is blue with white M)
Click it, once opened In the middle of the app select the tab 'benefits'
Scroll down to the Spotify offer, and click it
Then click the redeem offer, Spotify should open and then you login.

For those who did buy a new phone and don't have the offer, is it because you already signed into spotify with an existing account on your new phone?
For those interested in additional Ts&Cs, it says "you can combine this offer with other with other carrier, retailer and Samsung offers" if anyone knows of another free trial to stack. Also of note: you can wait until March 6 to redeem the free trial before it expires. Once your trial ends, your card automatically gets charged $9.99/month unless you cancel earlier.
