1) if you get the debit version, there shouldn't be a credit check
2) if you regularly shop at Target, the 5% off every purchase and other perks likely make this a worthwhile card to have, so why not get it while the bonus is high

Asking because I don't know how it works.
I have BECU debit card that links to my becu checking account and the only time I use it is for shopping at WinCo once a month.
