I don't think a wooden shed is automatically superior. If you don't need to hang heavy things from the walls/studs, a resin shed can actually be better. Case in point, the house I bought had a wooden shed in back on the edge of the tree line. It was rotting away and infested with bugs, because there was a tree directly overhead and they didn't maintain the roof. I replaced it with something similar to this deal. Zero maintenance involved with one of these. And only the super low end ones have the "fisher price" feel you describe.
That's an in-law suite
have you not seen the price of building material these days? OSB is up from $7 a year ago to $30 per sheet, 2x4's are triple the price.... there's no 15x8 shed that you'll get built or build yourself for $1600 right now

This thing is ugly as sin and plastic but it's cheap storage if you need a place to hide the bodies

I've put together a similar large product for the parents before. It's definitely a 2 person job for the roof and it also helped for the sides in general. However, not real hard to assembly, mostly it's lifting, aligning and holding tasks that you need help with.

Here's a time lapse of something close going up by one person. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CloxKnKwwkU

But you can get an actual stick built shed for $2000, or less, instead of a janky plastic fisher price shed.
Kindly send me a link for a $2000 "stick" 15' x 8' BUILT shed...

The one's I have seen at Lowes/Home Depot, are like $6000+

Yes if you have Amish or another nice resource for stick built sheds around you might find something for maybe 50% more at the same size.

However lifetime sheds rock. I have a 11x13.5 and it's awesome

If you're not partial to one unit, you can buy 2 of these (10 x 8) for a total of $1500 and you get more square ft

https://www.homedepot.com/p/US-Le.../100652232

I bought these originally for $649 a couple of years ago, took 2 of us to build and a few hours and a couple of 6packs

Been looking at these for years, always scared to buy due to concerns about longevity. Anyone have one that's had it for years? Interested in how it holds up to harsh weather elements over the years.

Are the roofs reinforced with metal or wood? If not, one medium sized branch falling on this would probably wreck it.

Has anyone ever tried to insulate and drywall the inside of one of these? Or is that a bad idea?

I've had these for about 4-5 years now but I don't have crazy weather conditions. Located in SoCal. They're plastic, but they are solid units.
