I have four of these running my sprinkler zones. Very clunky user interface, but they have all of the right scheduling features and reliably get the job done.

I have had one for about 4 years for my RODI unit... Eats batteries. As the other person said the scheduling options are easy. If you're used to the sprinkler it's the same interface. Bluetooth is short range and can take a minute to connect.

I have one attached to my pool fill line. I connect to it through the WiFi bridge. Latest SW works well. Early versions were terrible and required regular reset. New SW is rock solid. I like that I can fill my pool remotely and a much cheaper solution than pool company.

I also upgraded the sprinkler system to a b-hyvee 12 port system.

Fill by the pool company. Unsure what you mean?

I have three of these along with a BT to wifi bridge and have been very happy with it! Smart phone UI Interface is a bit confusing at first but has plenty of options for all my needs. I had a melnor raincloud 4 port internet controllable unit which was good when it worked but disconnected way too often and wouldn't even connect this year so it was time for a change! I thought batteries lasted well (over one season in midwest) for the b-hyve. Units were placed 100 to 200 feet away from BT to Internet gateway and I never lost contact with them for 2020 season. Wish they made a multi port unit for saving $$. I think $39 for unit and $49 for unit + gateway is a good price! I certainly paid more reluctantly but am glad I made the decision. I got really tired of running out to manually water three zones that I was trying to grow new grass seed in and the b-hyve makes it so easy!!!

I have these, and they work great. Very reliable. You only need one wifi hub (the little black plug that comes with the 21004 version) and then you can connect multiple regular ones (21005) to that hub.

Just FYI; If you already have the B-Hyve 8-Zone or 12-Zone smart sprinkler controller indoor/outdoor versions, it can act as a hub for these smart hose timers. Meaning you can buy the cheaper Bluetooth-only versions and use your existing Wi-Fi smart sprinkler timer to get remote access for FREE!
- I use this functionality with a couple of these smart timers to run my drip irrigation system for all of my raised garden beds, they work great, haven't had any disconnection issues w/ ~15' distance + a brick foundation b/w hub and timers.
- As far as battery life, I used some rechargeable 1800MaH lithium-ion AA batteries, they lasted all season long w/ out needing to be changed (-6MOs).

There are also significant rebates available from most water utility companies for these timers and the sprinkler controllers, I got my controller for only $5 after a $75 rebate! Orbits website actually makes it very easy to find them for your area, just go to this page and type in your zip to see what's available: https://www.orbitonline.com/rebates/

Just my 2-cents!

I am also running 4 of these and can attest that they eat batteries. Switched to rechargeable batteries and it'll drain them pretty quick.

Many cities have rebates for this kind of water saving device. Check your utilities website.

Also have it, but unlike ppl here, I have a big problem. Mine eats batteries like crazy. I use enelope rechargables and they hardly last 2 months. And it does not tell me anything, it just stops watering Frown So until I notice my garden is dry and replace the batteries, there is a danger my plants can die Frown

I've been looking at this brand. Highly rated and good detection capabilities. UI and data piece supposed to be strong too. Been watching but hasn't moved really in price.

Anyone familiar and can comment on this product?
