Klymit V-seat cushion - $8.99

Klymit has an offer for a free gray V-seat cushion if you pay for Shipping (8.99). And when I purchased, it had a few pop-up deals on other products, as well. Ended up getting a 2nd V-seat cushion (burgundy) for 6.99 + 0.66 tax (shipping already included for that one). Not sure if it's a great deal or not, but I thought I would rather bring inflatable seat cushions to games in the future (when the world opens up someday) than bulkier foam cushions... and I could also use them if I go camping. Thought I'd share here in case anyone else wanted them.

(So I ended up witb 2 Klymit inflatable seat cushions - 1 free one & 1 discounted one - for 16.60 total, including taxes & shipping.)

QA Note: Burgundy Seat Cushion popup may not appear for everyone, YMMV

Let me see if I have this correct... it cost $9 to ship a black one and $7 to ship a red one?

Obviously they are simply building the price of the product into the "shipping" cost. If it does not work, they refund the purchase price and keep the shipping. Great scam if it works.

I have had multiple Klymit products including this pad, and have never had a product pop or leak. I actually use this pad daily as extra cushioning at my desk, and it does not leak.

All that said, I would get a Therma-a-Rest Z-seat for hunting, because the foam will be more insulating and keep your butt from freezing.

Whenever Klymit deals are posted there are assumptions about leaking without mentioning the technology, US patents or knowing about the company in Utah. I suspect many have never owned an actual Klymit product. If leaks are common, why do camping and trail websites rate them highly, and why do camping stores like REI continue to recommend them after a decade? Complaints like "Does not hold air" rarely mention where the leak occurred or if they read the instructions about the valve. They also never mention the lifetime warranty. Klymit products aren't for everyone and I see legitimate complaints about comfort, weight or insulation. Yet complaints here about leaking are dubious without saying where it leaked and why they didn't get a replacement if they purchased an authentic Klymit product.

Sure I agree with you in large part but this model in particular has quite a lot of bad reviews regarding it not being as durable as the rest of their product line. Also, regarding lifetime warranty... Explain how that works for this item given the cost is in the "shipping", so you'll get a full refund, great you didn't pay anything or if you want another item just pay another round of shipping and you'll get it for "free" again... That warranty doesn't mean anything, especially for this product

I've never had to use the lifetime warranty, but when I inquired I was told the item would be repaired or replaced. Standard language is that it's at their discretion, but typically means a replacement for anything offset by the cost of manufacture. That is the not same as their money-back guarantee requiring product return within 21 days. The lifetime warranty requires submitting the online form plus photo of the damage and barcode, plus description of what happened. Many companies take your word for it, I'm not sure about Klymit, but they claim to make it easy.

UPDATE: I got them. The valve on the gray one is cheaper than on their other products. Only twist to open and close, not push-pull to lock. The burgundy has yet another style valve, but also just twist to open and close. The fabric seems a little stiffer on the gray one. OK for a bleacher pad, but I wouldn't pay full price for it.

Picked up two of these and used them recently while fishing. So far, so good and no leaks. They pack away great in my fishing gear and take up as much space as a small headlamp.
