Your best deal, especially if you live in a state that subsidizes electric vehicles, is to do a single pay lease for 3 years. It will be almost free with all incentives stacked.
Yes the $46,000 Model 3 LR with its 82kWhr battery, has more range than a $22,000 Bolt with its 66kWhr battery. Thank you for that insight.

Everyone talking about their Teslas while my Model 3 turned out to be a lemon. Waiting to get my money back and I'll be buying one of these cash. The dealer I got my 21 Tahoe from has the premiers for $24,000 minus like $15,000 in incentives. For a daily driver, it will be just fine. I like my Tahoe better than the Model 3 anyway.

Anyone with first hand or reliable second hand knowledge of the Chevy Bolts have any input on whether they are any good or not?
Mine is good. But, ride is not the best on rough roads sure to the short wheelbase, and the front seats are horrible.

If you're worried about the weather and have easy access to 240V (assuming as much since you're entertaining this to begin with), just get an RV-style enclosure (intended to power RV's with 240V@50A) for like $40 and mount outside - it's intended to be outside in the elements, and it's lockable too.
And you can run the stock OEM EVSE off of 220V and get double the charge rate.

Anyone get dealers saying the Costco $3k rebate is already part of their special pricing?

I went through the dealers site to get a lease quote and it shows $7500 discount from the dealer. When I asked the agent about the Costco $3k they said it was already part of that $7500 discount. Why would they include the $3k as part of the discount if it is a membership exclusive discount not a general discount for everyone.
That's dealer BS. Nothing more..

For those who may not be aware, your real life range will be about 200 miles. Since you do not want to charge the batteries to 100% every time as this will degrade the batteries quicker. So recommended charge level is about 80%.
And those who lease couldn't care less!

I bought a juicebox 40a a few years ago. They're overpriced. You really don't need all the wifi/smart features since that's built in all the cars anyway. Amazon has similar powered ones for $350-400. About $200 less than the juicebox.

And the Bolt can't even handle 40a so can even get a cheaper 32a. I charge both my Bolt and Model 3 on 32a chargers. It's plenty, finishes way before I wake up.
Yeah, I only charge with a 20 amp 8 year old Clipper Creek that happens to have a 25ft cable .
Just buy or make an adapter to use the factory EVSE on 220v

Just going to put this up here (so you can make an informed decision):

GM recalls 68,600 Chevy Bolts for fire risk, warns do not park it in a garage

Yeah, it has to do with LG batteries. All they did to fix it was to prevent the battery from fully charging.

LG produces great looking garbage

all you have to do is buy one of their appliances to figure that out.

I guess your use case is everyone's?

You are correct that every EV takes a range hit in colder weather for a multitude of reasons, including yours. Your car just has a larger pack and a faster charge rate. Which you paid substantially more for than a $20,000-$30,000 hatchback.

The Bolt is available with DC Fast Charge which is the same technology as Supercharging. Tesla's charging network is the best in the business and unfortunately is only Tesla compatible. Plugged in to a charger that will max out the Bolts 55kw charge speed will charge to 80% (where every pack tapers including yours) in a little over an hour.

If you're driving more than 200mi a day before being able to plug in at home overnight than you should probably look at a Hybrid over an EV. When we leased our 2020 last time this incentive was around we planned on taking the wife's car or renting something for any extended road trip.
Hybrid has maintenance hassles that an EV wouldn't, not to mention the time savings of filling at home exclusively. From a time savings perspective ev the way to go, independent of price

Agree. If you want a lower cost electric car, Bolt is perfectly adequate. If you want better acceleration and range and a bigger charging network, then Tesla is ahead of most manufacturers.
The irony is that GM/chevy got the original bolt out before model 3 came out and it was hyped to be a "Tesla killer"

Just don't expect the Costco price to be as low as the loss leaders you see advertised from dealers. Prius prime for close to under $20K after tax credits, $1500 point of sale and $1000 CA rebate is probably the best bargain right now. My Wife still wants a Rav4 prime but it will come out $12-14K more Stick Out Tongue
Costco cash is used for the purchase and treated as cash out of pocket. The selling price is the only thing negotiated.
