Once again, just wanted to point out that this is really only a steal for those who have a specific use case. If you dont plan on including the tablet in your mobile plan then its not worth it.

The % discount is applied to the after-trade in price. They did this to me when trading in my S6, too.

Ex. Item cost $1000. Current promotions: item is only $500 (thus, 50% off). Trade in a tablet for $100. Item "should" now cost $400. However, the $100 comes off the $1000, leaving $900, then apply the 50% discount. New total: $450.

At least, that is how it seems.

I'll let you know after I finish it. 😂 There are lots of materials online (YT, DIY forums, and XDA) on this. My main concern is if I replace the screen to the head unit with a tablet, then I would be staring down to look at it, which is not good when driving. So, I may want to mount the tablet above the screen with magnets and make it removable. I need the tablet as a GPS and music player more than anything else. But to answer your original question, the Samsung product page says the wifi version has GPS. Also, the Tab S7/7+ is a little overkill for this. But I want to make it a bit future proof.

Not a bad deal if u need 5g. The deal that I got earlier was great, S7+ @512gb and it comes with a pair of galaxy buds live for the price of $440 + tax.
