Yes, Purple. But the amount of phone minutes, texts, and data is for the whole year...not per month. It's a great phone for this price.
No, it's LOCKED to TF and requires one year of service to unlock.
I've had my daughters on RedPocket for a couple years now with 0 issues. If you're the sort of person that needs lots of hand-holding from customer support, maybe I wouldn't recommend it. But, like I said, 0 problems.

I've had a few tracfone lines for a few months and I had 1 major problem a couple months ago. One sim card just quit working. Maybe I got lucky, but customer service solved the problem with little effort on my part (took them over an hour before the new sim was working -- lucky I had a spare). Problem free since then. I use this for my "bicycle phone" -- a cheap phone that I can mount on my handlebars and not worry about it breaking. For rock bottom service costs, I recommend tracfone. With their new rewards program (ask somebody for a referral), you can get LOTS of free service with a new account. I have over 3 years free service on two lines from referrals (including some "self referrals" when Target got carried away with a promotion and I got service for no net out-of-pocket cost).

OK, to all the haters. I got this exact deal 2 weeks ago from HSN. I couldn't be happier. This is the 2020 model and the screen is incredible, the Battery life is unbelievable(3 days easily). I get better coverage with my Verizon sim than I ever did with Sprint/T-mobile. Very little bloat-ware with no lagging. and the camera is way above average, but remember, this isn't a $1000 phone, it is a $100 phone.

It took less than 10 minutes to activate, with porting my number over. I had to call Tech support once and was on hold for less than 2 minutes. Using their rewards program, Using a free code readily found on redit, I now have 8 gig of free data(or minutes). So I have free service for $107(with tax) for a whole year, with a great phone. No brainer to me Wink If your a heavy talker or heavy data user, Tracfone is not for you.

NO, 12 months not 13 months!
You can't unlock unless you had 12 months of services, this package comes with 12 months of services.

I don't understand why you're downvoted. The reviews at QVC and HSN for TracFone deals is abysmal. Lots of complaints with TracFone activation process and their non-existent customer service.

Tracfone has always had a bad reputation. They single handledly gave MVNO services a bad name over a decade ago. Newer (better) companies such as Mint have since come along and repaired the MVNO image.

There's a lot of disinformation in these SD threads about TracFone. People claim it's "easy" to unlock their phones. That's total BS. The FCC had to sue TracFone because they refused to unlock people's phones. A settlement was reached between the company and the government in 2020 that finally requires TracFone to allow customers of Lifeline products to unlock their devices. But I still read plenty of complaints from non-Lifeline customers that it's difficult or impossible to get TracFone devices unlocked.
I've used and given my 2 reps TF phones and plans for over 10 years and never had a problem that was not easily fixed by calling their main office in Miami. Lifeline customers are the govt's. welfare program (free to them) and why they ever need a cheapie phone unlocked is funny. As a fyi, TF unlocked a iPhone 5S, 6S, and recently a 7 with a simple phone call.

you can also use this on their sister companies
Straight talk
total wireless

I have this exact model on Totalwireless..(verizon)

its fine for a daily driver. you might miss NFC, can be abit laggy setting up android auto for first time. took about 30s vs 15s for my pixel 4a 5g.

Battery for DAYS, not fragile put a case on it and live life its a 100$ phone not a 900$ model you have to be paranoid over.

There are pros and cons but they have been covered.. in the end its unbelievably good in the under $200 phone range.

Unlocking is serious business for TracFone. I called twice and was rejected. Currently my g7 says no service? G6 says 20 more days. Thinking returning my new g power that I have only used for web browsing. This is getting old like get g power and try tello, Xfinity said do it $15 month but?

Moto G Power from Google Fi is $49 if you port in a number and keep service for 2 months. Not only that, they'll give you a credit equal to the cost of the phone, so it's worth staying a month or two more, maybe. You can also save most of the cost of the 2nd months minimum service plan by getting a referral before starting (hint, just ask somebody...). Net cost if you leave ASAP, $49 + tax + $20 + tax/fees (1st months service) + $0 (after referral) + tax/fees (2nd months service. ~$80 total.

If you actually find Google Fi tolerable and stay around until you've used up the $49 credit as well, then the phone is effectively free.
I don't suppose you can port in a Google Voice number? If not, where does one find an eligible port number? (I have two numbers on Metro waiting for 6 month period to expire so the phones unlock, otherwise I'd use one of those. I'm afraid porting out might mess up unlocking).

If you don't stick around to use up the $49 credit, does it stay on your account, even if you stop paying/cancel the line?

TIA!!

Buying a case for this phone is highly recommended. It is rather slippery and also has very thin edges.

Have a link? All I'm seeing is an old 2019 Christmas deal for $2 which is long expired. If you hit that $2 link, it shows 3 months for $7 each month currently, then regular $14/month...
