So I accidentally put my Mobley sim from sprint lg v40 (worked for years) to a pixel 4a 5g, to try and get 5G, didn't realize the 4a was factory unlocked and recognized by att so they suspended the account immediately, lesson learned.
Since now no more Mobley plan, searching the net brought me to a hidden at&t unlimited tablet plan for $20/mo, and I got it, they sent me sim card. Is it OK to share the info here? Not sure if ok to post it here. Let me know, and I can do that. If I do that, let's thumb this down.
And this is a postpaid account, they'll run soft credit check, you can have just the $20 tablet plan, no need to have a phone plan, you need to call to setup, not from link. PM me for info, not sure if ok to post info here. Make sure you have a tablet imei handy before calling.

My post asking fist about whether this is the best option to buy another of and whether I'm gonna have trouble switching the sim to another hotspot. I appreciate input here but I'm not sure if the link to the computer case fans is a joke or what
If you're using it plugged in to the wall a lot, you need to put the charger on a /manual/ might timer- like for Christmas lights. Don't use an internet based timer because if the hotspot restarts, the timer won't have the connection to the internet to tell it to turn back on. Same thing if the hotspot rejects the battery or marks it as overheated, when the timer cycles, no internet, no turn back on. Manual timer only. This helps the battery to stay healthier longer.
Eventually, the battery will need to be replaced. If it's under warranty, you may be able to get one from netgear. If not, they are cheap online. Just buy the official battery and not a knock off.
Use a high wattage usb charger for the car also. Match as close to the wattage of the original wall charger.
With regard to changing the device itself, if it's under warranty, have netgear swap it out. They are willing to do that sometimes. Once you have the new device, there is some simple stuff you can do to make your transition from one device to another transparent. Pm for details.
Try the battery cover first. This worked for me when mine was acting up. Also, make sure the wall charger is original or very high wattage and high quality brand. If you use a low wattage or cheap unit, the device will draw too much power on a big download or stream and then crash.
