THE 5X POINTS OFFER NEEDED TO BE ACTIVATED AT CHASE.COM BY MARCH 14 (AND IF ACTIVATED APPLIES ALSO TO RETROACTIVE PURCHASES made from Jan 1 to March 31). WHILE CHASE FREEDOM FLEX, WHICH IS A MASTERCARD ISN'T ACCEPTED AT COSTCO STORE, IT IS ACCEPTED AT COSTO.COM!
Assuming you signed up for the 5X Chase Freedom Flex categories this quarter, you will get 5X points for your purchase on Costco.com. That's worth enough points to get $75 (up to $1200 times 5%) cash back. Subsequently, if you transfer these points earned to Chase Sapphire Reserve it becomes worth 50% more (i.e., $75 times 1.5 = $112.5) when claimed as reimbursement for travel or groceries on the the Reserve card. If you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred rather than Reserve, its worth 25% more or $75 times1.25).

It's handled everything we've thrown at it from a gaming perspective. Very fast. It's a bit of a chonker compared to most laptops these days but not bad. That's the price you pay for the additional cooling potential for the higher spec GPU. I had an Asus Dash which also has a 3070 in it. The Asus was more svelte but the 3070 in it was probably a good 20-25% slower.

People paying this kind of money for a gaming laptop are playing games where the graphic horsepower can be used. You won't be >144Hz in any recent AAA game at high settings.

And many FPS games would able to get 144 fps on medium setting.
I would expect atleast 240-300hz 1080p display or 165hz qhd display for this price point.

Though it would be nice to have an 8 core CPU, do have any evidence that 6 cores will be a "bottleneck"? I've searched and found nothing to support that.
