My thoughts as well. I like the idea of lamination, but it's very possible that there'll be some sort of booster to address variants (b.1.1.7, b.1.351, etc.) Moderna is developing one such booster right now.

What world do you live in? A lot of workplaces are requiring their employees to be vaccinated, so that card serves as a proof. Also, international flights are starting to impose that requirement as well.

Don't understand the purpose of the card. I was given a blank card to fill out and bring back for the 2nd dose.

If you notice, there are 4 lines on the card. With the new strains there is a good chance we will need some sort of booster shots before this is all over and these lines are where they will document the additional shots. I'd recommend not laminating your card unless you have a specific reason to do so.

Friendly reminder if your card has thermal stickers on it. Don't get it laminated it'll burn the thermal stickers and turn them black.

As soon as I get my second shot the card is going in a drawer. I don't plan to carry it around.

Air travel. As of this writing, a negative COVID-19 test is required to enter Hawaii and all international destinations allowing travel or transit through. At some point, the vaccination card may be the standard. But if you've never crossed the county line, you may be exempted...
