I highly advise people to go on YouTube and search for a video of the ThinkPad privacy screens before buying. They may be 500 nits of brightness but you wouldn't know it based off how bad the viewing angles are (even when the privacy feature is turned off).
This isn't a gaming laptop, it's a business ultrabook. If you want a machine with a discrete video card, get the Lenovo Legion which usually costs a hundred or two more.
Ughh, if not for the Privacy Guard feature, this would be awesome. It makes for problems with the display and many people report regretting it deeply.

Dumb question but can this run League of Legends efficiently
First, you need to define "efficiently". Most latest laptop around this price can run any game (may need to adjust to lower setting to run smoothly). So probably google for what setting you want to run and this laptop (or similar laptop that use 4750U) and see what people said.

Couldn't you just turn off the privacy guard? Or is the screen still crap with it off?

For those don't look at previous post....

Here's one of the review of X13 with Privacy Screen from Lenovo website.
=============
Privacy Guard screen (even when the privacy mode is off) makes this laptop totally unusable. My 15 year old laptop has a better screen that this one. You can totally ignore the high NIT numbers, the LCD is just horrible! You can see a brightly lit center of the screen if you look directly at it, and everything else will be dimmed. It becomes much worse if you are looking from a small angle. To me it is a deal breaker and I will try to return this laptop. I have also bought a cheaper Thinkpad E14, and it has much better display.

I'm sure you're still waiting for an answer, interestingly enough, somebody already addressed this in this thread..
Excellent idea though, thinking outside the box, love it, *high five*👋

Privacy Guard is like having kids, fantastic for those who want it, terrible for those who accidentally get it without knowing the consequences.

I got it on my X1 Carbon and love it. I feel much more comfortable working in public places.

For this much, it should have a discreet gaming video card. Nevermind the ThinkPad build quality.
Post like this reminds me of those "no hdmi? pass" comments.

If you are not joking, then your view of laptop is very narrow.

There is also an option which screen to use. Go to the bottom of the product page, there are 4 option for X13. For this config, it use PrivacyGuard but there is other config.
  • 13.3" HD (1366 x 768) anti-glare, 250 nits
  • 13.3" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare, 300 nits
  • 13.3" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare, touchscreen, 300 nits
  • 13.3" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS, anti-glare with PrivacyGuard, 500 nits

If you read review about Lenovo Thinkpad privacy guard screen, most people said unless you really need it, otherwise privacy guard is not good because it limit your viewing angle which reduce screen brightness even when you have it turn off. So 500 nits is not really true 500 nits, probably not as good as even the 300nits screen.
Configure a Lenovo on eBay site? I don't think so.
The reason the config with PG is on eBay is that they can't sell many.
Configure this on Lenovo site and it's about $1500 and it ships in 12 weeks.

Yeah in that case I'd go for the ips 300nits 1080p. Touchscreen if you want it but I don't
Yes. That's what I'd do, without question, EXCEPT it can't be done on eBay. To configure on Lenovo site will cost you $1500 for these specs and 12 weeks to ship.

Is the price different or same ? Would like to buy 300 nits one with touchscreen if available. Thanks

The 3200mhz ram is a big plus. That's the reason why this laptop feels much more responsive than other business and even gaming laptops. very few business laptops have such high frequency ram.

Just pointing out to someone PrivacyGuard is just one possible config for this laptop but for this deal, it is pre-built one that sell as is.

In other X13 thread, someone said last year, they were able to buy max config 32GB RAM, 1TB hard drive with touchscreen for around this price last year summer(?). But not sure when this will happen again. But since newer CPU models including Ryzen 5000 series is coming out or came out, the price of last year model likely won't go up and more likely stay the same or come down.

Up to 11th Gen Intel Core vPro or latest AMD Ryzen 5000 Mobile Processors

As for CUSTOMIZE&BUY option, I was watching it for the last month. Many system like T14, P14s, X13 was ships in 12 weeks in late Feb/early March (and right now), but for 1 week around March 18, many of customize&Buy option for those systems were able to ship within 5 to 8 days.
Some of last year T, P, E, X13 AMD/Intel, L13 Yoga etc models which CUSTOMIZE&BUY was 55%~69% off through employee perk site. So if you have access to employee perk site or know friends or relatives that have access to employee perk site, may want to monitor customize&buy and see if the ship date change and if the discount come back to 55%~69% range. Usually they have bigger sale during holiday so may want to wait for next holiday (Easter? Memorial Day? big Summer/Back to School sale?) if in no hurry of buying and have access to employee perk site (or friend/relative have access).
