Great price. This or the Acer Spin 713 which is on sale for $529 on occasion?
The screen and processor are better on the Acer 713, the only thing that this has is the fingerprint reader which honestly with Smartlock enabled on your Android phone kinda defeats the purpose. For the screen alone I'd go with the Acer. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Sometimes you don't want to have to deal with (or have) options other than ChromeOS Also, don't have to worry about viruses, malware, etc. Updates are far easier and much faster as well.
These are great for students, 2nd machines, and for people that aren't computer literate.
They're simple, and can do what 95% of people purchase home machines for.

I'd probably save the money and get the Acer. On the Acer, the screen and aspect ratio are great, keyboard and speed are solid too. I enjoyed even using Xbox Gamepass on mine. Though I returned mine for the ~6 he SoT battery life and terrible speakers. It's an excellent web-productivity machine.
I haven't used this one but got my mother the c425 (last gen, not 2n1 nor touchscreen. m3 cpu). Keyboard is very nice as well, and she just uses it as a regular laptop.
I think both are great options. Currently using the Pixelbook Go, which downgrades the cpu, screen, and support timeline but increases build, speakers, and no 2n1, but I also really like it. Checkout best buy open box for some models, solid savings on the Pixelbook Go for example.

The knock on this machine is battery life. Normal use might be on the 6 hour range which is low for a higher-end CB.
I really do not see the point of a Chrome Book.
