To uninstall many junk apps preloaded by Samsung:
- Download, install, and launch the Minimal ADB and Fast Boot tool on your PC.
- Download, install, and launch the App Inspector app on the phone.
- On your phone, go to Settings and tap on About Phone. Find the Build Number and tap on it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
- Enter Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Connect the phone to the PC via the supplied USB cable.
- Change to "file transfer (MTP)" mode at the phone.
- You will see a prompt on your phone asking you to authorize a connection with the computer. Grant it.
- Enter the command "adb devices" (no ") at the command prompt (PC screen).
- Enter the command "adb shell" if you see the serial number of the phone displayed. If not, then remove/reconnect the USB cable, grant connection, and retype the "adb devices" command.
- Enter pm uninstall -k --user 0 <name of package> for the app that you want to uninstall as displayed in App Inspector.
For Example, to remove youtube: pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube
To restore youtube: cmd package install-existing com.google.android.youtube

Deal was better under Sprint - iPhone 12 free w/trade of iPhone8 or higher... upgraded 3 lines yesterday!
Hopefully costco would give the cash deal. I hate the 24 months bill credit. Anybody know if my iPhone 11 has couple months to go, it would lose the bill credit if I pay it off early

Thanks folks for answers on paying off. Another questions and observation.

Few of MY EIP is not showing correct promotion name but shows::
0
Enrolled ($20.8 monthly credit)

For the same promotion 1 line is showing promotion name as:
2021 Apple Trade P6
Enrolled ($20.8 monthly credit)

Both of them show same info like following in details page but they were done at different stores and even 1 online one is showing this.

Enrolled as of Apr 24, 2021
Promo ends Apr 24, 2023
Duration 24 mo.
1 credit applied
Limited time offer and subject to change. See offer details
If you cancel wireless service, remaining balance may become due and you may lose promotional credits.
Terms & Conditions
Promo Code T566

Has anyone seen this and know why the difference? 1 credit posted on both on last statement so I am not worried but I am little concern to pay off line that doesn't show promotion name.

The term says the trade in phone should be in unlocked condition but do they enforce that strictly? Has anyone tried sending a phone locked to another network?

They don't care about locked to another network, as they're actually trying to also grab customers from other networks. They are referring to the phone not being security locked by you. . .i.e. locked up to your Apple Face ID lock or Find My Phone setting, etc. and same similar for android phones.

I.e. a trac phone locked to trac phone will do fine. . .

Is there any benefit to paying it off right away? Obviously if another deal comes along that you want to use on the line, I get, but is there any other reason? If another deal comes you want to do can it just be paid off then?
Consensus is that you don't pay it off right away. . .wait a month or two for the EIP credits to show up and clear (start rolling) on the billing statements , rather than sooner when you see the "credits" on the account. . . to make sure it sticks. Unless you are trying to do back to back phone deals on same line, there is no reason to deviate from the above.

If you are staying with TMO long term, I see no reason or advantage to pay off an EIP until you actually want to add another EIP to that same line. i.e. when you upgrade from S21 to S22 or S23 etc. The phone EIP's are interest free loans, so why rush until needed?

EDIT: I guess if you want to try and alter the phone OS, then that would be a reason to pay off early and get it unlocked. . .but 99% won't make that effort.

I saw people advising to pay off EIP only after seeing 1-2 credit. I have few phones on EIP. Will it be okay if I pay 80% of of those before my phone is accepted. I need to reach credit card expense and want to make sure this wont screw up EIP.

I also have 3 instore trade in which has posted 1 credit. Is is safe to pay those off or should I only pay 80% to be safe.
If you want to meet minimum spending on a CC singnup, say CSP 80K, why bother paying this EIP early ? you can make advance payment to your monthly T-mobile bill (thus by having a balance credit which would net off in future bill), keeping your EIP as EIP.

This might be a dumb question...

I have 3 phone lines, one of which needs a new phone bc it doesn't do VoLTE. I understand I can trade that in and get the credits on that phone line.

My question is....I want to keep my other two phones but my sister needs a phone. Can I trade an old phone and get the credits on my account on one of my lines but not activate the new phone on my account? But rather, pay the phone off to unlock it and give it to my sister for her to use on her own cell phone plan? And then receive the $11.75/mo credit on my account?

Do you need to factory reset the phone for trade in? I don't remember my Apple ID. Apple CS emailed me saying it will take weeks to email me "forgot password" info. Thanks.

Besides paying off the phone, it should also show usage on T-Mobile for 40+ days and then you can request unlock. If your sister is also on T-Mobile, no need to unlock it.

As terms, your phone has to be unlocked from Apple Id and you need to reset it.

As far as I know, you have to work with Apple to get it back.

Yes me too - not too worried about it. I have taken a screenshot and will just monitor it every few months.

Same here. I bought two iPhone 12 devices on the Mother's Day promo, and both phones in my account show as yours do. I planned on waiting a billing cycle or two to see if anything changes or is amiss when it comes to receiving the proper credits.

T-Mobile has been making a lot of mistakes lately with my account that never happened in the past. At least they are correcting them when I notify them. The problem is that I have to spend extra time closely monitoring my account and then getting the issues resolved once I find the errors.

Make sure to watch everything like a hawk in your account. Contact T-Force about anything that looks amiss.
