Items: $29.92
Your Coupon Savings: -$4.45
Total Before Tax: $25.47

I just ordered a Klein Tools 935DAG for $25.47 after coupon from Amazon. CCC shows $29.92 as lowest price, however it's not taking the coupon into consideration so I don't know if there have previously been better coupons based on my research of CCC and past SD posts.

Seems to me to be a good price for this unit, but curious to what the community thinks about this tool compared to any other options out there in this price range.

Anyone know how these compare to the Wixey digital angle finders? I've got one and it seems to work well, but it isn't orange.

Update:
Searched around and it seems that vs. Wixey the Klein has:
-stronger magnets
-AAA batteries vs. CR2032
-Better display
That's the beauty of these. I have the Wixey, and you pretty much calibrate it every time you use it. For example on my table saw, I don't need to know the angle of my blade relative to the earth's gravity, but rather to the table top. I zero the angle guide on the table, then adjust my blade to 90, 45, or whatever angle I need. Same on the drill press table- I just need to know the angle of the table to the column / drill bit. So I zero it on the flat side of the drill press head, then adjust the table to the angle I need.
I decided to buy one, which is exactly why I shouldn't hang out on this website. When I die and people are sifting through my stuff at the estate sale they will wonder why the hell I have two digital angle finders, 500 clamps, and 4 jig saws spread across 3 different battery systems.

You forgot to include the advertising revenue!! 😄 I know, I make that easy mistake too these days as everyone's pockets get lined by someone else.

I'd be more "inclined" (heh heh) to go with the Tacklife MDP03, it has rechargeable batteries, and laser beam(s) for leveling, and it's under $30 right now with the 10% off coupon. More functions, and no batteries to buy. Not much more than the Klein unit, but more useful IMO.

Wondering if something like this would help in building a wooden base frame and leveling it for a shed.

One thing I noticed is the Klein has an accuracy of +/- 0.1 and TACKlife accuracy is +/- 0.2. Doesn't seem like much but it is.

my phone was far from free -in fact about 28 times more expensive than this, and far more fragile. No magnets to attach it to anything to measure stuff.
True, but you will know where your phone is when you need it.

Lithium batteries are fussy about their charge levels. If you are using this frequently that should not be a problem. For those whose use is occasional, that could be a problem. And down the road the lithium batteries cannot be replaced unlike NiMH or NiCAD batteries

LiPo batteries can be replaced, if you have even a modicum of skill and a soldering iron. I understand for some it might be a challenge, but the type of person that buys tools is usually a bit more skilled than average. Anyway, that's why there's choices in the marketplace, you're free to buy whatever works for you. So far, I haven't any issues with the device. YMMV.

When I looked into soldering lithium batteries, I took the warnings of overheating causing t he battery to catch fire and explode seriously.
For those willing to take the risk, skills are a start. In addition, a temperature controlled soldering iron with a higher temperature capacity would be recommended.
