Strongly recommend avoiding this monitor. I own the same one and it is useless now. The entire edge of the display has turned white who th with red outlines. Just google LG 27uk650 white and red corners, and you will see the massive issue that was never addressed by LG.
Typically for shooters like cod you'd want a higher refresh rate. It all depends on what your graphics card can put out but usually the sweet spot is a 2k 144hz monitor. If you care more about non shooters or just want better graphics then this would be good at 4K
This 1440p 144hz monitor would likely be a better experience for the same price.

There are a few cases where this monitor is the way to go though, such as if it's also going to be used with a PS5/XSX, not gaming, or if you're not doing gaming that requires speed.

I had this and switched to 1440p...4k is cool but at the 2-3 foot viewing distance I have, it was a little too small on the 27" screen. 1440p is more comfortable for productivity uses, and it's great for gaming.

Yes, this happens to UK and UD monitors. It started happening to mine but it's not that bad yet. The edges are turning red and white but it's still usable. I think I've had the monitor 2.5 years now, didn't start until the 2 years or so.
2 years would be a huge letdown even in the days before LED backlighting. I have 10 year old LCDs still in service. I don't expect 10 years, but can we not normalize 2 years, please? That's a lot of 27" e-waste.
