This loses security updates and phone support oct 21, 6 months, who would buy something with 6 months of support right out the gate?
Picked one up for my wife the other day. I was skeptical it was actually new. But if it was a refurb it's the cleanest one I've ever seen.

Edit: No idea who's downvoting this deal. Pixel 3 may be 2 years old but it's still awesome and $170 for this level of phone is impossible to find. Hell technically a Pixel 5 has a slower processor. 3 just has less ram.

Edit 2: I'm not saying I got a refurb. I'm saying that it looks perfect so I would be very surprised it was a refurb because I've never seen a perfect refurb. All the packaging appears new and not replaced. The adhesive on the interior packaging for the ear buds and power cord was very gummy which leads me to believe it's just been sitting for 2 years. And the battery was dead which would be typical for a phone that's been sitting for 2 years and not a refurb.
This is just the same deal from last week, right? I ordered the pink one, it came just fine, new. It estimated it would take 3 weeks to arrive, but ended up coming in less than a week. I opened it, removed whatever SIM card was in there, plopped in my T-Mobile one, and it booted up just fine. Ran through all the updates (took a few hours, going from 9, to 10, to 11, and then a bunch of 11 security updates) and then it was off to the races.

Great deal, who cares about the color, it should go in a case anyway.

Does anyone knows if this would work on European GSM networks since it is coming off Verizon? T-mobile and ATT work so assuming yes but firured to check if anyone knows?

There was nothing on the box that indicated eSIM support. There was something above the IMEI that was EMBDSIMTR1and the next field was the Verizon SIM card number. SIM ID 891XXXXXX....

For those that are asking, the one I bought from the previous Woot for the same price was new and all seals were intact. Gorgeous device for $170 that works well. I updated it to the latest version of Android supported and it's pretty nice. I was able to use all of my old wireless chargers so I'm happy! Smilie

There are third party options to maintain security updates, but custom roms are not for most people.

From what I'm told stay away from Verizon if you want to root / custom rom as the bootloader is locked

100% charged at 8am, 55% brightness, 4 hour screen time, at 10pm, I have like 20% left.

Definitely not for heavy use, good for light use, will last for 12 hours.

You can always bring along a small battery bank.

From what I read it's possible to bootloader unlock. However, you might have to deal with some possible mic defects which Google itself acknowledges, and the small storage size with NO sd card slot. 64G is no longer enough in this time and age. Apps can easily fill up the entire space. Plus, when they say 64G you don't actually get the full 64G to use. What's worse, some said WOOT has terrible return options. FYI.

The list of carriers it works on doesn't include Consumer Cellular. Does it?

My favorite phone I have ever used. Just Hope you don't have any issues. I ended up having stabilizer issues with the camera two weeks into a brand new phone and I got a refurb back from Google that was worse than the original. I was on android for probably six years but that was the straw that broke the camels back.

If you don't have any issues I'm pretty damn sure you will love this phone. Camera with low light conditions is just outstanding. I took this phone to Thailand And the photos I took were just awesome until the lens got wobbly shooting photos. No damage done on my part but it is an issue that can happen with these phones if you look it up.

Edit: just wanted to add That the built-in call screening feature on these phones are freaking awesome also. I wouldn't be surprised if it's something you see Apple copy in a couple years.
I have the Pixel 3 as well. Same issue with the camera. About 1/3 of the photo is blurry on about 50% of my photos.

The big question for me is how will the updates be handled. With a normal Google unlocked phone Google will do OTA updates. But this is a Verizon phone, so I have no idea. I will not be on Verizon network, so I might never see any updates. Anybody have an answer?
I switched from verizon to google FI half yr ago, and my pixel 3 still gets update regularly.

Bought this exact phone back near launch for $800 with the gift card deal from Google. Simply an awesome phone and I really don't think it could be beat for the price. Perfect size, nice screen, smooth software, great camera, and the battery life still gets me through a day, no problem. Only issues I've had were a few random reboots, but that never happened while I was using the phone. Doubt I'll upgrade for another 2 years at least.
