ive tried on regular and mini.

i measured my own head and i was on the exact bubble measurement of, smaller? buy mini. bigger? buy regular.

i have a big head but i dont think that really applies here since its more base of neck for these headphones.

mini and regular are basically the same, i compared if i felt mini more long term, but its not really like that, and you feel where the earbuds touch more anyway, which is something you only notice if youre trying to notice.

mini is shorter so you can lay flat in bed, and juts out less when looking in mirror

i kept mini because ultimately for whatever reason theres a better conduction seal (sort of like pressing the earbud with your finder to your face, with the regular)

something to think about if your size on the bubble like, me. but if i didnt have the mini already i wouldn't have noticed. cool headphones regardless

I love these. Amazing for kayaking, biking, walking around, working while still letting you hear the sounds around you. This is a great price as well. I'm on my second pair.

So comfortable you forget they're on and you'll feel like a cyborg walking around as you can engage in normal conversation but have your personal soundtrack for life happening. The volume can't compete with loud ambient noise however, so biking in traffic or kayaking pst a freeway you won't be able to hear things as clearly but as long as you realize the limits.... fantastic. I'm tempted to buy another pair cause this is Black Friday prices but I don't really need it.

I've only ever used the Aeropex model.

How do these compare? Would one be better than the other if I wear glasses/helmet on a scooter with either?

edit: sounds like these are just smaller/tighter. https://us.aftershokz.com/blogs/n...ht-for-you

The mini is just designed for smaller heads than the original. I have the original and use is all the time with a biking helmet with no problems. I have also used it with a ski helmet. I don't think you would have issues with either on a scooter, you should just get the one that fits your head the best. BTW, I was hesitant about getting these as I had never had a bone conducting headset before, but wanted to give it a shot since when I am running and biking I like to be able to hear what is going on around me, which you can with these. I was also pleasantly surprised at the quality of the sound. From what I have read the other headsets from AfterShokz don't have as good of sound quality as these do.

Hope that helps.

I picked up a pair of these about two weeks ago, and I am loving them. Not only are they great for cycling, but you can also wear them and still have a conversation, and it just seems like there's music on in the background. They've been really useful for boring conference calls!

To be clear, you can wear the mini while laying down - with the back of your head against the pillow, and have no issues or no pressure on them? Asking because I love my aeropex, but that's about my only complaint (besides the proprietary charger)... that I can't lay in bed easily with them on

I've been using these for almost two years now. Still work great. However, I'm about to up-'down'-grade to the new Aftershokz Openmove that use USB-C to charge. The proprietary cable on these is the worst thing imaginable.

If you really really need absolute waterproofing get these but the Openmove is the same quality for $80 and still water resistant

They have less band at the back of the neck. If I wear current aeropex while lying down on pillow, it gets in the way and are uncomfortable. I've taken to removing the aeropex and wearing it backwards with band on my forehead.

Very tempted to go with mini and would recommend if u don't have a ginormous head or neck. I have a big head and thick neck. I'd recommend a mini.

Though if you are doing a lot of running, maybe u want there to be a gap between neck and band. Preference at that point.

Yeah so ive laid in bed with both on.

With mini it might be that when you lay on a pillow the wire will kind of lean down but thats about it. It was definitely something more noticable with aeropex regular

Im about half and half when i decide to have the mini on in bed with a partner or when i just decide to listen with phone speaker, but only because i kind of know they dont care

Interesting! They look different though, but the description seems to match. Same model?

does it have dual connect? i.e. connect to laptop and phone simultaneously?

I just started looking into this brand a couple days ago. I'm very interested in the OpenComm model and that's not on sale...
