reused an old case as well. Cost me next to nothing. There's a guy on youtube, dbtech that has instructional videos on how to set up omv and jellyfin, it's pretty easy, but there is a learning curve if you're new to linux.
So I paid $250 for my setup, reusing some old parts I had laying around, vs paying 150-200 each x 4-8 which comes out to almost 1k just for drives.. and they're slower 5400 rpm shucked drives..
Based on the comments that WD had changed which HD is in the Easystore case, is there any way of knowing prior to "shucking" it open to look? Model number, manufacturing date, etc?
