Actually the KN95s listed on the "Appendix A: Authorized Imported, Non-NIOSH Approved Respirators Manufactured in China (Updated February 18, 2021)" are FDA approved for use in medical settings in the U.S.. Also, not all of the KN95s appear on the Appendix A list because when tested by the National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL) the filtering material did not filter at least 95% of particles ≥ 0.1 μm. This means some KN95s are counterfeit and do not meet the KN95 minimum specifications for the filtering material's ability to filter 95% of particles ≥ 0.1 μm.

KN95s are closely related to N95s, but only the latter is approved for use in medical settings in the U.S., and the reasoning is pretty simple: N95s are the U.S. standard, while KN95s are the Chinese standard for these close-fitting filtration devices. BOTH are rated to filter out 95 percent of very small particles.

Fwiw, if you look at this cdc testing list (https://www.cdc.gov/niosh/npptl/r...sults.html) you can see that majority KN95 and even N95 made in China have less and many way less than 95% claimed rate of filtration. Personally I would rather not use them even though for free. I rather get the Honeywell when they are available should it be needed. Just remember where and how this is all started. Buying these masks will make us a guinea pig for these Chinese masks manufacture. Big Grin

I think it's 0.3um

The description only describes PM2.5 which would be my biggest question
(and how strict the regulations on some particular country brand can claim their product complying to some standard is up to your imagination)
I don't much difference of this 3rd party seller on Amazon than sellers on ebay and $10 for 50 is the ongoing price.

I believe there are many BFE95 rated product pretend to be N95 with intentional fact avoiding in description.
It's not that they're not protecting, but when I pay regardless cheap or not, I should get a real product complied to the claim standard

I prefer to use KF94 for comfortable fitting and better trust on Korean products.

So, it's definitely NOT US certified N95.
I believe it's KN95 mask made in China with 3M branding, likely real 3M products being sold in China and only certified in China.
Selling it as authentic N95 in US is doubtfully legal.

I bought this and I must say that they are thinner than kn95 I ordered from wyze.
I don't know if they are kn95 or still as good as regular surgical masks or else it's 10$ wasted Frown

These masks are legit.

My bet is that 3M had made kn95 masks and put them through the n95 certification to increase supply.
