I reviewed one of these when they first came out, brand new out of the box I used Turbo mode for an entire battery, about 10 minutes, and noticed the battery was oddly warm. Tried the second, and it was also hot. (135 degrees cell, and 150 at the connector)

Opened up the battery to find LG HE2 cells. These are decent cells and rated for 15A discharge and 2500MAH down to 2.0v (oddly low)

I sent the item back, told them what I found out, and asked about why those cells.

I recently purchased a manufactured refurb, opened up the battery pack, and found HE4 cells.

These cells are much better. 2500 MAH @ 20A down to 2.5v. Ran the vacuum on turbo for about 10 minutes, and the battery was 115 and the connector was 125.

I don't know if my first was an early production model and they switched cells of if they remanufactured packs use the HE4 cells.
Additional 15% off with code PICKCR4MOM.
That's like asking if this Ford is better than a Chevy. Is a Mustang better than an Aveo? Is an Escort better than a Corvette or an f-150 better than a Suburban?

This LG is probably better than your old V6. But it's not better than a Dyson v11 or Outsize or V15. Its performance is about on par with a v10 - with some features that could push it over the v10 if they're important to you. It's got a really great stand and two batteries. It's got a telescoping wand. But if you want the best suction, you'd be better off with a v11 or v15. (Though the LG is well above average there.)

For the money though (with the warranty) this is a fairly good deal. You'll see refurb v10's for about this price but won't have two batteries.

Might as well. My Shark Duo Flex's battery runs out too fast and a non-OEM battery is at least $50 (OEM retail closer to $100). If no good at least free returns

Excellent deal with the coupon. Extra battery and fuzzy roller (our first floor is all hardwood) seal the deal at $229.49 + tax with the coupon.

In for one, thanks OP!

Can anyone share thoughts on how this compares to a Dyson V10 Absolute (which goes for the same $ refurbished)?

Thank you!

I can barely move my LG when it's on high because it's sucking the carpet so hard. I honestly don't see how it could be better

Is this better than Dyson? I m happy with my V6 but the battery is about to die and looking for a replacement

Wow great deal. After watching Vacuum wars for this on Youtube I'm sold. We are replacing our Dyson V8 with all the bells & whistles (and terrible battery life). The suction power rated slightly better on this than the V8, and we've been happy with that feature, so it's all an upgrade after that. The Dyson should sell easily to make it close to a wash.

I live in a 1300 sqft apartment with not much hardwood floor. I'd say 80% carpet and stairs. Is this still a good buy? Also debating if I should pull the trigger on this one vs the Costco for my purpose. Any help is appreciated.

I have this vacuum and it is the best. It was a lifesaver for me. I am a picky housekeeper and this vacuum is the best. I love the attachments and not once have I had to use the extra battery. I bought mine refurbished and came brand new. For this price it is a steal. Has good suction and their is not one bad thing I can say about it. This is coming from a very picky 60 year old. I love it!

I wonder how well this compares with the dyson v10. Can anyone chime in? Thanks!
