Need to upgrade from rear facing only .
- Built like a tank with steel frame.
- HEAVY! This is not a car seat you want to travel with or take it off and put in a different car often.
- Easy to clean. All the cloth cover can be removed and washed.
- Lean back quite a lot for rear facing. You can buy a foam block as someone mentioned that will give you a few inches extra.
All in all we are happy with it. We have a lighter car seat for travel and other car but this is the one that feels the safest.
Can you use the latch to hold the seat in place when there is no kid in it for booster mode? I need a slim booster

Fyi, this is an updated model from the one we use for our older child. Rear facing does take up a lot of room. I have it behind passenger seat in both cars as it restricts how far back the passenger seat can recline. I don't think a child could stay rear facing until 50 lbs. The angler definitely helps and I would say is needed. Once front facing it is fine.
Installation is not bad. There is a good video on the company website. Make sure you put your knee and weight on it when installing. Rear facing is more of a pain to setup than front facing, but really is not that bad.
This car seat is a beast. Made of thick steel and weighs a ton. It is designed to be portable, which is nice but it is heavy.
Overall, I want to order today because this a great deal on a great carseat. I think I paid $175-200 for ours without the bundle.
Damn! Was just checking out too
I'm using for our newborn now. We just pick her up. They're not supposed to stay in (or sleep in) those bucket seats for a long time anyway the way people usually use them. As a second time parent, it wasn't worth the cost of a bucket seat to use for such a little amount of time.
Yes its oos
