This is the single speed multi tool but still a great deal, grabbed one yesterday. The batteries are pretty much obsolete for the drill but work well in smaller tools like impacts

Does variable speed make a difference? I think the XR version has 3 speeds.
This is the 354 which is the atomic, I can only speak for the 355 and didn't like the vibration and having to modify some blades for the quick release to work. As far as power I think the 354 and 356 (3 speed) are the same. It will get the job done but won't be performing at the same level as Milwaukee fuel line of multi tools. For the price, this is a steal.

The batteries ate just fine in my opinion. Just a lower capacity. But when handling a drill or a multitool like this IMO they are perfect since they are smaller and lighter making the tool easier to handle.
I got this deal but I also got the other HD deal for $129, that includes the Atomic Multitool and 5 AH XR battery. I am trying to decide which one to keep! Any suggestions? I don't really need the Hammer Drill since I have those in the 12v system currently.
I grabbed the amazon deal for the multi tool for the 356 for $99 . Contemplating if I should get this since this also has the drill. Is the 354 multi tool good enough for small DIY projects ?
