Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

But iphone 8 is the cheapest so if you want the best value, trade in an iphone 8. If you're in a hurry, just trade in the iphone 8 plus.

Folks who bought iPhone 8 phone from Micro Center to trade-in, what did you select as "Carrier?" It doesn't have "Unlocked" in the list.
your phone can be any carrier. Verizon, sprint, whatever. They don't care

What they lack in IT, they make up for in deals lol

But did you not see this screen in the online checkout process?

Yes I did, but I also saw the part at the top that says they are adding X to your bill. That X number is for more then would be left after the full $830 credit amount. At no place does it say that there is other credits above the $830 that would off set the difference in the amount.

Yes, I got one. Was just wondering what to select from that dropdown list. Hoping to see "unlocked" as an option, but it isn't there. I'm just going to select T-mobile.

My app gave an error and so I did the transaction on the phone.
I was not aware of the limit of 2 per account and also the Rep was not aware either and she processed 3 orders for me after which she realized that the promo is only for 2 per account
She tried to cancel the 3rd order but her system won't let her
So she has said she will try to cancel again tomorrow.
But, in case she is not able to cancel or she forgets the same, what are my options?

I bought from microcenter. I called t-mobile to do the trade in and was asked what carrier. I said I didn't know and the rep was able to find out through the IMEI number. Turns out mine was verizon

Can't you select "Apple - Generic" as one of the carriers?

since this phone is financed over 24 months, it is not eligible for the 40 day unlock policy. Can anyone confirm this?

Was anyone able to trade in a phone which was active on Boost? I bought one at the store today to trade in and I struck out with Sprint as they said no dice, must be a Sprint phone, so now I'm converting the account to T-Mobile and thus far I think 1 person here said they had no issue with Boost and T-Mobile trade-in. Also, anyone on the Essentials 55+ account able to do this promo?

You need to pay it off first and use for at least 40 days before you can request for it to be unlocked.

I've seen conflicting info on if you will get the monthly credits if you pay it off. Can you pay it off, wait 40 days and unlock, and still keep getting the monthly bill credits for the 24 months?
