My first post... please be gentle.

Browsed at my local Walmart today (San Jose, CA 95136) and saw the Arcade 1up Pac Man 40th Anniversary edition being non-advertised cleared out for $135. Shelf price said $399 and Walmart.com 3rd party seller goes for $599. But I used the Walmart app on my scanner to discover that it was $135.

There were two or three left on the shelf as of this morning, 5/15 8:30am.

No riser, though. But can't complain for $135. 2 yr protection plan added for $16.

Hope the same goes for others shopping/finding this around the country. Happy hunting !

Where in Walmart stores are these typically showcased?

My closest Walmart says Limited Stock so I'll drive there tomorrow and see.

Where are these at Walmart? I've never seen full-size video games. My closest location says they have a limited stock for $150. Any chance there will actually be one there?
I've found it to be the opposite. If it says OOS there is normally one or two there lol

First time I've been mad about missing out on a deal. I literally searched for deals on 1UP machines this morning and must've missed seeing this by a few minutes. They were marked down to $75 at my local Wal-Mart.

Flip away. Inflation is crackling in the air and debt is king! Don't blame you one bit.
My Son claimed one for his room. I'll replace my limited Pac-Man Arcade1up with it's custom riser. My daughter is claiming the old one. All spoken for.

Can you buy at one of the higher price stores and then do a return/ re-buy at a lower price store?
You can try but it depends on the rep you get. You could also try to say that you learned the price dropped further from when you bought it and request that they match the difference without doing the return and repurchase.

Be nice if these took quarters. Set up an arcade room and make some money.

Any idea what dictates the price differences per store? My area is wild with random prices depending on the Walmart.

Who has time for this? Just stay home and wait for your next stimulus check.

Depends on what you mean by hacked? Can they be modded? Yes. Can the actual PCB Arcade board be modified... No. You would need to replace it with a different system. Raspberry Pi.. Etc..
I guess I mean games be added to it?

Likely, profit per square inch of space and/or over time. WalMart can calculate those two things without having to set foot in a store. If that particular store doesn't sell an item, it can be discounted at various times until it does. Likely a greater prioritization to discount larger items that take up space vs. several smaller items, if the larger item ends up costing them potential margins.
