Feel free to edit this Wiki with your store and price to help others that might be in the same area as you.
To check the stock: go to the Ikea app search box, "Scan to search", "Enter article number manually", type in "50106773" and hit "Okay". You can now see the product page and go to "In stock/Out of stock in..." and change to other stores (the search doesn't work with zip, only store name, usually the city, or state).

...'cause I can't get there until tomorrow and I really hope there's one left...
When I bought mine last week, they were down to 3 in stock. There were none on display so you had to know where to find them in the warehouse and I grabbed a couple and there were 3 left after I bought my two, but one looked like it might have been an open box return.
These are rock solid DIY tops and I like them way more than the butcher block you would get at Home Depot or Lowes. First, it is deeper unless you go all the way up to the island sized tops at HD/Lowes which is way too deep for a normal desk but good for an assembly bench in a workshop but second I actually think the wood is better. The way HD/Lowes ship/transport and store those butcher blocks means nearly all of them have damage or are slightly warped and the wood is shit quality, very knotty on one side and often cracked or gouged on the "good" side. You really need to pick through to find a good one.
If they would lower the price at the Sunrise, I would honestly buy out their remaining stock because they are clearly discontinuing the item and this is the last of their solid wood products and I do not believe they are going to restock or replace any of them because of how much deforestation criticism IKEA has gotten over the years. The two rounded end Gertons I've used for my desk for years couldn't have held up better and I mean I've stood on them to replace overhead light fixtures and hang a TV so it was my first choice when redesigning my desk to be a standing desk as well. The quality for the price cannot be beat. If I could get a Gerton top for $40-50, I would buy every last one and replace all the melamine workbench and assembly table tops in my shop. They're that good.
Also, if you do not have the room or equipment to sand or do any finish work, I would go so far as to say you don't need to worry about it. They are smooth enough out of the IKEA warehouse that they can be used as is and I believe they come with a light coating of oil for protection. Obviously you can't put drinks on it but if you're careful with it, or use a desk pad, they are great. I personally would never stain or poly these. My current Gerton is only sanded and is unfinished, the new ones I am going to sand, bevel the edges and just use a clear danish oil on. Easy to reapply, matte finish, makes the grain pop nicely and easy as hell.
