Ditto on the leakage issue. i have an older brother HL-5250DNT that uses TN550 or TN580 and bought a 2-pack in early 2020. They sent free replacements after i complained about poor print quality (dark shadows on duplex printouts). i am using #3 of the 4 cartridges they sent and it leaks near the right margin. Still usable but i have to periodically vacuum out the area in the drum on the right side after removing the toner. Minor PITA but you get what you pay for with these. YMMV.

p.s. there were expiration dates on the boxes i received. Two years out or so.

They come on sale another every 9 months. If you have a new brother printer, it has a "starter" toner drum. When it runs out without notice, you will be scrambling. Yes, you should buy this, and store them in a cool dark place. Guesstimated shelf life: 3 years till the rubber seals decompose.
