As someone who put several hundred hours into 2 and didn't think the presequel was that bad, my biggest issue with the game is that it doesn't function. I own a standard PS4, so maybe that's my issue, but it is laggy, slow, buggy, and you can't even traverse menus without massive lag and delays. It's a steaming pile of garbage as far as I'm concerned and practically unplayable. If you have a PS5 or a series X maybe your experience was better, but I don't and they sold me a PS4 copy so...

I've put in well over 100 hours into BL3 and almost nearly as much in BL2. There is some kind of weird lag when you go into the menus, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it makes the game unplayable. Annoying? Sure. But the further you get in the game the less time you'll be spending in the menus anyway.

I played the entire game on Xbox One S and didn't have any other performance issues other than the menus, so I don't know if the issues you're describing are specific to the PS4.

Played it on my old PS4, so the bugs and lag was real. Good deal, would get it again for my Xbox X, but it's not a fun game to replay like 1 or 2. This is the first of all the Borderlands I haven't started over, didn't even finish the DLC, would rather just play BL2 again.

Yes but there is such little content in the second season you really are not missing anything by skipping it.

I'm playing through this on the Xbox One S - yea there's a weird 4 min load with a dancing Claptrap every time you start the game, and the environment and texture pop-up coming out of a load screen/fast travel is pretty atrocious. Beyond that still fun, but hopefully these are mitigated with more powerful systems (if you can find them - gl)
