You already dropped your unpopular opinion on how this isn't worth it for you in the other Split Pad Hori thread. Now you're just here for attention.
I own these (same color too coincidently). They are decent, good sticks and buttons (that's the primary selling point here). They do not have batteries though so they can't be used wirelessly, no rumble, nfc etc. they basically only work while snapped in. The other big issue with these are that Hori made them too chunky. The top of the pads stick up over the front left and right edge of the switch. You will also need to buy an aftermarket case if you wanna keep these on and travel with it (something else I did, there are a couple brands just Google).

I no longer use these though since I found a better compromise. Google for a brand called BinBok. I know I rolled my eyes too on that brand name. They are legit though. The size factor is somewhere half way between hori and original joycons, but fully ergo shaped and the top and bottom of the pads don't stick up over edge. Those also have rumble and batteries so you can use wireless. They do not have nfc is only negative (but not a huge deal). Just make sure you are buying 2nd or 3rd update version if you are buying the binbok (newest preferred). They keep revising their model and making it better. My only gripe with binbok's is that the buttons don't feel as good as they do on hori. They are functional and fine though and The rest is perfect to me. The LED light rings around the sticks on the BinBoks can be turned on or off or different colors or effects, that either will or won't be a selling point to you (but off is an option if it isn't). Anyway, since I got the binbok joycons I don't bother with the originals joycons or the Hori anymore at all. They are as close to perfect as I've found so far.

So if you're looking for an alternative to Hori, Google for binbok. If your end up buying on Amazon, make sure you're buying the newest 3rd version of the binbok joycons though.
Better ergos for playing in handheld mode.

Seems like it is more ergonomic than standard joycons but they don't have rumble. Reviews suggest this brand may die prematurely.

Great deal compared to the typical price for this, but "does not include Motion Controls, HD Rumble, NFC, or IR camera" and they do not have their own battery. Since they draw power from the main switch battery, I image they would reduce the overall hand held play time.

Are there any alternatives though? Something to provide a similar experience, with everything else you mentioned?

Let's be real though, most of us probably play this in another part of our home or is at some point of time near an outlet while using handheld. If not the first two, the oh so many power bank deals from slickdeals lol.

I posted this in the other thread. You can get a Binbok controller [amazon.com] with some of the functionality you mentioned. I found this to be a better alternative to the Hori.

I have these, the original Daemon x Machina colorway. These are absolutely phenomenal for improving the ergonomics of handheld play, especially for shooters or any other action-heavy games. I don't have particularly large hands but I found playing games like Borderlands and Hades in handheld mode with Joy-Cons difficult, often resulting in some hand cramping during longer playtimes. Those issues are totally gone when using these.

Because they do not have internal batteries, the console battery life is a bit less with these attached - I've noticed maybe 10% less vs. the Joy-Cons in my experience, but I haven't kept a detailed log or anything. They also make the system absolutely gigantic when attached and more difficult to transport, so I mostly save these for around the house.

They're absolutely worth it to me but I don't mind owning two sets of controllers that I use for different scenarios.

If you are willing to do the work, the basstop dpad case:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076CJQ...B073XKXQW4
and a separate grip.
