With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Did you ask for a free Amazon Echo spot? The last time I signed up for the $60 for 12 months, they were able to add it.

Just renewed 36 month/99$-select- subscription today in response to a letter from Sirius. Called the number on the letter and CS said nothing beyond 12 mo available. Transferred to account specialist, same response. I asked to speak with a supervisor. Connected to such and explained the reason for my call was to renew my current subscription which was about to expire. Supervisor was very helpful and said "chat service team" would need to get involved in order to attempt to honor the solicitation. After several minutes interfacing with chat service team determination was made that I did not qualify for the offer. About ready to sign off from the service when the supervisor "refreshed her screen" and found that the particular offer corresponding to my radio/account popped up. So after some 50 minutes or so on the phone I was able to renew service according to the terms outlined in the letter Sirius initially sent regarding an expiring account. My Kafka story.

My subscription for the trial ran out a day or so ago.
Just signed up again the same way, works great, 3 more months.
ALSO! keep in mind that not only is this for car, but you can also use siriusxm on your pc and i suppose the app also!

Yup, worked again for me for another 3 months. Strange that my other car with inactive radio didn't work for this 3 months ago and doesn't work now. It hasn't been on a trial for over 7 months.
