This is an insane deal. Regular price is $2000 when they are available and often higher when stock is limited. This is worlds better than Peleton and I will physically fight anyone who says differently! LOL

I know because I came oh-so-close to buying a Peloton and discovered this bike just in time to buy it instead. No regrets. Since this is Slickdeals, I'll point out that in addition to being a superior bike it includes one year of membership which saves you another $500 or so. With Peloton you get one month free then you have to start paying the subscription.

This is on the Amazon Treasure Truck so may not be available everywhere
(I checked Los Angeles and Las Vegas). If you are thinking about a high-end stationary bike JUMP ON THIS! If this gets a bunch of down votes it is from Peloton fan boys. Ignore them. Seriously consider this bike and do your own evaluation.

P.S. If you read any comparison reviews, the biggest gripe is usually that Peloton has better music than NordicTrack. This has always seemed super ridiculous to me but this difference no longer exists. NordicTrack now has popular music if that matters to you. I am not a fan of pop music anyway so I turn the music volume down on the bike (you can independently control it) and play my own tunes. Another old gripe is that you can't pair it with bluetooth devices but now you can do that as well. They push updates very regularly.

I've been researching this as well. This is a great price and a great bike - I want to share that the model on Amazon is the 2020 version.

Changes to 2021 (if you order direct from NordicTrack) are:

*UPGRADED 22'' Rotating Smart HD Touchscreen
*IMPROVED 1-Year iFit Family Membership
*ENHANCED Automatic Trainer Control
*IMPROVED HD Graphics Performance with added Processor Cooling
*FASTER Dual 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Wi-Fi Connectivity
*NEW Quiet Drive Incline Tech
*NEW Android 9 OS
*NEW Bluetooth Headphone Connectivity
*NEW 2X More RAM

You can call NordicTrack to order this bike at $1999 for the 2021 model and they will waive shipping if you mention you will be ordering from Amazon instead.

Update: got free shipping via live chat. They will offer iFit for 2 or 3 years at a discount at first. I asked directly if they can match Amazon's free shipping and I got a separate quote emailed to me for checkout.

As someone who has a 2020 model, I can tell you without hesitation that none of these upgrades are worth paying $500 more. These are technical differences that will not in any way improve the rides or experience. Everything you are doing on this bike happens on the screen through the iFit app. The app will work exactly the same on a 2020 or 2021 model. More ram, faster processor, etc. isn't going to do anything except maybe speed up the boot up time but you won't see a difference otherwise. Maybe the incline motor makes a little less noise but hopefully you are too dialed in to the instructor and your workout to even notice. Not worth $500.

As for bluetooth connectivity, they already upgraded 2020 models to have that so it's not exclusive to 2021 models.

What is an improved 1 year membership? They have one type of membership and as far as I know they all allow you to have four members in them. This is the case on my 2020 bike.

None of this makes sense. Get the 2020 model and save yourself 25%, this is an insane deal. I am picky about workout gear and hate stationary bikes but I am a huge fan of this bike.

$1604 with tax versus $1999 from NT. You don't think the upgrade from Android 7 to 9 and double the ram is a bigger deal? (No tax for me ordering directly from NT)

No idea what 'improved' membership is - only need access for 2 family members.

Ordered the 2021 model but tempted to cancel and order the Amazon 2020 model...

I haven't heard of anyone disliking their Peloton (once they were actually able to get one) but the NordicTrack Reddit page is one nightmare story after another. Not sure if quality has gone down during COVID as other reviews seem positive, but something seems off. The people I know with the NordicTrack end up streaming Peloton classes via iPad or TV because the iFit classes just don't compare.

I don't think any of those things matter. The OS is irrelevant because you have no access to that. When you turn it on it boots right into the app, you never see what version of Android is under the skin. I have no idea what version of Android I have, and even if it was upgraded to Android 11 I would never know the difference.

Same for double the RAM. You are running *ONE* app on this thing which is iFit and it runs fine on my bike. I'm not sure what difference more RAM would make because it's not like you can multitask on this thing. I could have five times as much RAM as I have today and nothing would change.

The one frustration I have is the touch sensitivity of the screen. Touch screens that are designed to operate in wet environments have a tendency to have this weird lag so that they don't register false touches (like from your sweat). This is that type of screen. If the upgraded screen has better touch sensitivity with less lag then that is a real tangible benefit. But nothing else on that list is worth a pile of beans in my opinion.

WHAT? This is totally nonsensical. One of the great benefits of the iFit integration is how the trainer can adjust your incline and resistance levels to match the terrain, or to dial you in for the live class if it is indoors. Watching a Peloton class on a Nordictrack bike is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

I do not know what kind of issues people are reporting but I can't imagine what a nightmare story might be. I love my bike and have no regrets. This thing runs circles around Peloton. I honestly can't think of a single benefit to Peloton over the S22i specifically. YMMV with other Noridctrack bikes, there is a lot of variation.

Now, Peloton users are a little cultish like iPhone users, so the thing could be a total piece of crap but they would never say it out loud.

I own neither, so I am just going off research I have done through the FB and subreddit for NordicTrack are where I was reading these stories. The new Peloton does have auto-follow for the indoor classes. One of the more famous YouTube personalities that reviews all the stationary bikes had to return his twice before the third one worked properly. He liked it once it was working, but admitted the workout content on Peloton is still the best. He also complained about the lack of clip-in pedals on the NordicTrack, but praised the inclusion of the built-in fan.

I don't know how old that review is but the workout classes on NT have caught up. And while Peloton might have auto follow for resistance, they still do not have incline or decline.

I can't tell you how cool it is to go on a mountain bike ride with an instructor and have the incline of the bike automatically adjust to match the terrain. You can even create your own road route using Google Maps Streetview and the pitch of the bike will adjust to match the pitch of the road. Peloton just can't touch this functionality.

As for the lack of clip-in pedals, that is a BENEFIT. Here is the thing, the majority of people buying this bike do not have the proper clip shoes. Great for Peloton because now you're gonna drop an extra $200 for shoes with your bike. Plus you are paying more for those "included" pedals.

With NT, you get regular pedals and can use regular shoes. Now, I wanted clip-in pedals so I found a good deal and I bought them. I also found a good deal on biking shoes and bought them. The pedals I got are flat on one side and clip-in on the other side so if I have anyone over that wants to go for a ride they can use the bike without special footwear. I also do a quick five minute warmup on the bike before lifting and it's nice to not have to put on special shoes just for my warmup.

You also get dumbbells included with the NT bike for any workouts that use them. With Peloton they charge an obscene amount of money for their dumbbells as an add-on.

FWIW, you can get a code to get the shoes free w/Peloton (I've been researching a lot because as a road biker, I want to use clip-in pedals) and you can buy cheap weights anywhere, but nice that NordicTrack includes them free.
