Does anyone know how long the batteries last under normal, not so busy use?

Also does the camera alerts me every time or it's as bad as wyze that only alerts once in 5 min or something?

These days I'm very unhappy with wyze. It only alerts me when I leave for work and come back home, skips all the mailman and Amazon deliveries. Practically useless.

TIA

The battery lasts about a month when set to optimal surveillance. There's a few settings with shorter recording times that would make it last longer.

If you want a powered one, I'd recommend their Best Buy exclusive that has 24/7 recording on a built-in 32gb memory.

I've had mine over a year. Charged it 3 times. It alerts each event.

Mine charges aboit two or 3 times a year.

Depends on what you set. I set mine to alert every motion it senses, so could be more than 1 a minute.

I've had this doorbell installed for almost a year now, and the battery definitely lasts. Right now, mine has used 35% of its charge in 65 days and that's with the "optimal surveillance" option on, that "drains" it even more. I think I've charged this twice, and it wasn't even close to being dead. I just like to charge them all at the same time.

Yes. I have it wired. You'll want to because it dies fast on battery

What's your definition of dying fast? Someone else posted "has used 35% of its charge in 65 days and that's with the "optimal surveillance" option on, that "drains" it even more". So a full charge is almost 6 months use?

In the beginning it lasted about a month between charges. It later ended up being every 2 weeks.

I dont know how normal my use case is but I have two in different locations and I'm at 20% and 25% battery respectively after 19 days since charge. I had hoped for more.

Detection on the other hand is great. I wouldn't have a complaint at all if i could get the power on times others are reporting

Yes. I have two of these wired (front door/back door), They activate the existing doorbell chime in my house.
