fyi this takes Filter style S, if you have existing 5300/5500/am90, they are different filters.

This has a much lower CADR score. You would need two of these to match what that is capable of.

These have more readily available aftermarket filters at lower costs. I believe this model won’t work in as large of a room as the other one. I picked up the Blueair and also own this Winix. This is a more practical choice.

Conway is slightly better, however, C545 has WIFI, however, WIFI does not work for many...In summary, I would get Conway if it was up to $30 more than C545.

It can be used anywhere It's up to you if you want to use Wi-Fi wherever you locate it, But mine lives in the kid's room which is dark and runs 24/7 The first one died after about 10 months and no longer ran properly on medium or high speed shifted back to Costco and got a replacement shipped out immediately The whole return process lasted a couple weeks because they sent me two different return tracking numbers 🤣 really at this price with this many filters you can't go wrong If it stops working you send it back and they give you your money back or a replacement It's kind of win-win. My only complaint about these is the Wi-Fi can be a royal pain in the ass to set up so I have not set it up on the replacement item because I really don't care how much of the time it goes into yellow or red just as long as it keeps working 🤣

They are $28 on Amazon... not OEM winix filters but I'm sure they are fine
Check your local energy company for possible rebates. I bought a couple of these in the past and got back $50 each via NJ Clean Energy [dsmtracker.com]. Going to pick up another now.

Any thoughts on how this compares to the Blue Air model that's on sale at Costco?

Apparently, the filters are difficult to come by, and expensive when they are available.

Somebody mentioned buying a high-end 20x30 furnace filter and cutting 3 filters out of it with very good results.

Just bought this about a week ago too. Just put in for a price adjustment. Costco says they honor deals and will adjust price if bought within 30 days.

Got this and cancelled the blueair one. Already have a blueair but those units are large and filters are expensive. Needed one for the home office. Any solution to add wheels to these, other than custom framing?
