Check your local energy company for possible rebates. I bought a couple of these in the past and got back $50 each via NJ Clean Energy [dsmtracker.com]. Going to pick up another now.

These have more readily available aftermarket filters at lower costs. I believe this model won't work in as large of a room as the other one. I picked up the Blueair and also own this Winix. This is a more practical choice.

Do they still honor price adjustments? I purchased full price about three weeks ago.

Any thoughts on how this compares to the Blue Air model that's on sale at Costco?

Apparently, the filters are difficult to come by, and expensive when they are available.

Somebody mentioned buying a high-end 20x30 furnace filter and cutting 3 filters out of it with very good results.

Just bought this about a week ago too. Just put in for a price adjustment. Costco says they honor deals and will adjust price if bought within 30 days.

Got this and cancelled the blueair one. Already have a blueair but those units are large and filters are expensive. Needed one for the home office. Any solution to add wheels to these, other than custom framing?

My sinuses have never been so clear since I started using this air cleaner a couple of months ago. What I really like is the low power mode when the lights are off. I have it scheduled to run 12 hours from 6PM to 6AM. After a couple of months, my filter is only down 5% and it came with a full set of filters for replacement.

That is quite inefficient. Low power modes for longer are generally less efficient than high power modes for shorter because it recirculates the same near-air rather than with higher power that can disturb air (and create air currents) further away.

This unit has a built-in air quality readout (I'm guessing just a cheap PM2.5 sensor), that should give you enough information to know if there's any reason to run it for that period of time in that mode.

I'd test how long it takes to go to "blue" (low particulate count) in high and then run the schedule for that long once/twice a day as far apart as possible. Should be the best bang for your power buck.
