It seems to be on your first repeat delivery of each individual product, rather than resetting with each new promotion. I've been using it for about a year and always get the 35% off a product if I haven't ordered it on repeat before.

Its 35% on new repeat delivery items. Back then there was a bug that lets you repeat 35% forever with a $35 max if you cancelled all repeat deliveries but since the fix, it's $20 max and only on repeat deliveries you haven't bought before. So if you want the most out of this, buy "one" product and max the $20. Then another individual item with a second different order and max $20 savings again. If you mix match items to save 35% discount and max at $20 savings, both items will no longer qualify for 35% off as both items are now considered subsequent orders and not "new" repeated deliveries.

Thanks for sharing. I thought the same too, but last year I ordered the same dog food twice a few months apart and it worked. I also just tried again with some of the same the dogs food I had previously bought looking at my order history. I know it resets even on the same products, but not sure if there is like a certain time period before you can do it again. I just assumed it was on new promotions because the banner for the repeat delivery would look different.

Didn't work for me on the product I ordered in the past (Natural Balance cat food). Looks like they fixed the bug that allowed to use the code on the same product.

I actually was able to get 31.80 combined discount on my wet & dry cat food order... my fav brands of healthier food for my baby. Thrilled!!!
Site is horrible as said but in end was worth it. $73 regular priced (I've paid that in past!) down to $42.20 delivered to home). EXCELLENT

I last ordered in November, and have not been able to get Autoship discounts to apply since then. This one worked! I was actually able to get $50 off (30%, it looks like $50 is the max) off 2 cases of wet food (Royal Canin GI Low Fat).

Now to hope they actually contact the vet and the vet doesn't mess up giving them the authorization. Note: do not order from here if you need the food badly. I've had it take 9 weeks between "authorization" and then time to ship. Hopefully they've gotten better now, the order in November came in a week or so. It matters less now, because Petco and Chewy's regular prices, even after Autoship, are still more expensive than one local vet and the same price as our regular vet. In the past it was about 10-20% lower. Petco also packs things worse than Chewy. They're Amazon-bad (giant heavy item loose in the box).

Petco is a nightmare to deal with when it comes to Rx food. Gave up and went with Chewy. No discount is worth dealing with the stress I experienced.

Chewy has a similar auto ship discount on RX pet food and regular food. For repeat orders, just use a new/different email address. $20 max discount per order.

No. The 35% is an introductory offer per SKU or brand. The next deliveries are only 5%.

You will get your first product for 30-35% off (if it showed the savings in the checkout), but the next one will be the 5%. Set your repeat for 12 months then cancel it once you actually have the product in your hand. The discount will reset eventually. I'm assuming six months or so. It hasn't worked for me since November but this one did. I'm pretty sure you can't use the next discount code if you have the subscription active so make sure you cancel it!

Edit: anyone know how long this "promo code" is good for (vs the regular discount that usually fails if you've ever bought anything)? Two of us have accounts for different pets but I don't want to do another order for a few weeks so they don't see all the same vet info and address happening at the same time.

Good deal. But you are forced into creating an account IF you want repeat deliveries. Otherwise you are able to use Apple Pay without signing up for an acct. By the way, I see the OP lives near Atlanta.

If you have Amazon Prime along with its prime rewards credit card, buy Petco gift card on Amazon (to get the 5% cash back) and use the gift card for this purchase. A gift card is suitable for this kind of purchase because you don't care about perks like extended warranties (on pet food) that come with many credit cards.

I recommend checking for the same food via Amazon Subscribe & Save before assuming the PetCo price is a good deal. The 30lb Dog Food we regularly get was only a couple dollars less with PetCo under this promotion than the standard recurring Amazon S&S price. For a couple bucks I will stick with Amazon and not need to remember to cancel a recurring order that will come at a substantially higher amount. May not be the same for all items and I am sure there are some pet products that Amazon doesn't carry but worth price checking before assuming the PetCo price is the best deal.
