I bought a very similar kit a few months back. All products and packaging are the same except it didn't come with the roller and labels are different. The comb splinters a lot, beard wash has a subtle but funny smell, and it's all made in China. I'll stick with badassbeardco for the extra $$ here and to trust what I'm putting on my face more.

I've bought quite a few varieties of these kits over the years (cost from $5-40) and I've never seen any brand stand out from the others, except for scissor quality. The balm may have better scents but for the price it can be handy for a travel kit or kit for the car. Quality-wise I doubt it would be any different than any other beard kit on amazon (maybe the high end ones are THAT much nicer but I can't see how)

If you're gonna go for regrowth, try minoxidil first. Then if you want slightly better results, get a generic dermapen for 50 bucks.

I bought this a few months ago. The scissors are terrible and don't cut. Most of the items are poor quality. The only thing I kept out of it was the brush.

It does. It's a skin care tool that supposedly allows moisturizers to penetrate deeper into the skin and the micro damage it causes encourages the body to 'turn over' that outer layer. I guess for beards they think the increased blood flow to the skin will help encourage hair follicle growth? Who knows, it's all a bunch of mumbo jumbo.
