The tools themselves are fine. The case is junk. Nothing stays where it should and the drawers get jammed easily. No room to expand. I put everything into a nicer toolbox. The set is short on wrenches so you might plan to add some more later.

I paid $400 for mine last November and it included the stand. If you don't need the saw right now, I'd wait for a better deal.

Only difference between the two is the laser line which you can add later if you decide your missing it.

I'd like to switch away from my compressed air nailer, if I can. I checked on Honey, and that nailer doesn't seem to have dropped below $99 in the last 120 days, at least as a standalone product.

$399 is pretty much the normal price for the 779 miter saw. They jacked up the price a few weeks before this sale to make it looks like a steal at $150 off. Lowe's had it for $349 a few weeks ago.

' Dewalt DWS779' in the SD search bar will show you all the previous deals.

$350 is normal Black Friday price. Or $399 with a free stand comes up a lot too. $320 is about the all-time low. It's also $399 at Lowes right now, maybe less if you have a coupon.

Or you could buy one right now at CPO Outlets via ebay for $359. https://slickdeals.net/f/15089899-dewalt-dws779-15-amp-12-in-double-bevel-sliding-compound-miter-saw-new-359-99-tax-381?v=1&src=SiteSearch

Also sold by Amazon for $394 and Prime Day is only a week away, if you have any of those Prime Day coupons and/or credits to stack with it.

Not top tier Ridgid or brushless, but this combo seems a good deal.

Drill/driver, circ saw, sander, 2x 2ah batteries, charger, bag for $159.

That's a great deal for Ridgid but the Ryobi set for $200 in this deal is a much better option for homeowners. The multi tool has been invaluable for drywall and the reciprocating saw has been great for small trees/bushes. I even found a cheap trimmer/blower to use the 4ah battery more.
