Does HP still use bios whitelists for components?

Quote from Pdk9087 :
Noone should ever buy an HP prebuilt. They have way to many issues (software and hardware related) and you're going to be locked in to some of HP's components. If you ever want to upgrade, you can basically only keep the CPU and GPU. And if you're upgrading, those are probably the parts you're changing.
Guess you missed the obvious thing that this is a laptop? Your comments might be true for their desktops, sure, but don't really apply here.

RTX 2060 at this price.
$20 more, same store, same coupon, same spec, but 2060 and better outputs.
Tho not HP, but ODM chassis from Tongfang.

Bought 2 iPhones from these guys, sent them back bc the phones were total junk and they refused to give me my money back even after I had shipped the phones back with the return label they had sent me. The phones were advertised as free returns within 30 days. I had to open up a credit card dispute and submit documentation and waste my time to get my 1k back. I would strongly avoid buying anything from VIP outlet unless it is an absolute fire sale and even then I would be concerned.

brand new is same price at walmart (excluding the 10% coupon). Is 10% worth used vs new?

For a laptop in my opinion it's not worth going used for only 10% off.

That's over $100 more than this, not $20.

Edit: With coupon code it's $30. Thanks for clarifying Smilie
