Just saw Direct Tools Outlet has the 4 inch Ryobi Clamp fan for $19.99 +$7 shipping. Condition is Factory Blemished, so new with full warranty. Many of us can't tell the received condition apart from what you get from home Depot.

If brickseek and Home Depot's site say a store doesn't have it is it still possible for it to be there?
I don't know about that's they are a 'special buy' of their Ryobi brand. Normally that means it's not the same as the tools they would put in line, these should be meant for end caps for holiday sales. If they just did one run and sold out already that's it.
Even with HD and Brickseek showing out of stock people have reported finding them in a miscellaneous product section called 'no home' (think as seen on tv) and in their 'home' section with ceiling fans and other fans. They seem to have not inventoried these right and according to the stores near me they claim they never had them, or at least those employees never saw them.

If your bet fails then your next option is a reseller and they want $50 for these. I won't be selling the ones I ordered, but I was not greedy. Since the item was 'hot' already more scalpers will buy them out to flip making them even more scarce.
Ryobi knows there is not an infinite demand, so they will not make more of these. They can also upsell you to their 8inch fan. I don't think these will go below break even when demand falls.

I just bought one last night from home depot for 21.67 total free shipping, so like I said, be patient and you'll save money.
