Dual motor is always better. It means the desk can have heavier stuff on the top without bogging down the motor. In some cases, it means the desk raises and lowers faster/quieter. But mostly, it's for desktop weight.
Dual motors does mean two points of failure, though. You'll probably get smoother, quieter operation with an increased load capacity (meaning more weight).
Hard to say... I've only seen the Costco one at store. Another poster mentioned that it had a cross bar below that might be issue for people that use to resting foot in that area. Looking at the pictures, the Sam's club one doesn't have that cross bar. Other than that seems similar except for one is white and the other is black so that might be a choice. If I remember right, the costco one was in store last year with regular price of $299. So now the regular price is $249. Being frugal as me, I'm waiting for a price drop ...maybe $199 sale/clearance and I'm in.

what do you need the stand desk for? why is all the sudden everyone buying stand desk during pandemics. how useful is it for wfh?
Might not only be used for standing but maybe a few inches up or down for comfort issues. I want one but would never stand using one. That's for you young whipper snappers to do.

I use it as I could work 8-12 hours on my computer and want to be able to stand, it helps reduce health concerns, also helps the kids not play with it while I am off. It was either a 250$ sit stand or 500$ plus chair for ergonomic purposes so I picked the cheaper option.
I wanted to love the Costco one, but the cross bar across the base legs is directly in the way of my feet. It makes it very uncomfortable for me unfortunately :-(
It is kind of awkward but I got used to it. Would love if it didnt.
