https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ext=Ryobi#

Here are some notable items and only a good deal if purchase multiple items since total shipping cost is $7.

$19.99 - 18v Clamp Fan. This is regular price but can be difficult to find at some local HD stores.

https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...n/p/PCF02B OOS

$29.99 - 18v Portable Hybrid Fan. This is $10 more than the last deal but decent if you need it for the summer.

I own P261, along with almost every Ryobi tool in existence. I have no motivation to spread misinformation. It does fine with my lug nuts. This is just something that came up when I was going through Q&A and responses to some of the negative reviews. See attached for examples. You're always welcome to add counter opinions and evidence but there's no need for the combative tone.
Yes it's a good deal for the impact wrench. But Ryobi has a new brushless version now (P262) with 600ftlb reverse breakaway torque. This older brushed version is rated 300ftlb forward and not rated for reverse. Whenever someone complained stating that they couldn't remove 120-torqued nuts, Ryobi responded stating that this wasn't designed for lug nuts because it was optimized for forward only. Just something to keep in mind. Still a good deal though.
$7 shipping for the fan is not a good deal for me. I will wait for HD to get it back in stock.

I was told that they will have the mini fans back in stock at HD in a week or two.

UPDATE: HD will have the item back in stock after June 22nd.

Asking soldering experts: I have never soldered and I need to fix a copper pipe that has developed a leak. Is the only way to solder plumbing pipes using a blowtorch or can you use soldering iron?

You might be able to get a good enough solder iron, but realize that heat is the name of the game when it comes to solder. If the pipe doesn't get hot enough, you're never going to solder it

THe 1/2 inch impact works great for me, used it to break loose and put all 4 wheels on/off of a ford escape. I always follow up with a torque wrench to tighten. I bought 2 of the fans when they were on sale a month ago and they showed up pretty quick. They were both BNIB inside the shipping box, and they had other customers info on them. Im sure they were just ship backs or something. I love the hybrid fans. I m litterally using one right now as my A/C isnt keeping up =/

That's just how it goes with DTO. They sell out of loads of things all the time and if you want something specific you have to set up alerts. It took me more than 12 months to finally snag one of the misting bucket top fans through them.

I see that people are TRYING to flip these on Marketplace and eBay but I also see a lot of units just sitting there and not being bought. Not trying to discourage anyone from flipping if that's their hobby but from what distributors have been saying on reddit the demand for this is so much higher than they anticipated that Ryobi is going to make it a regular seasonal item, though probably with a higher MSRP of $24.99

They didn't sell out of the larger fan for $20 last week. That fan is arguable better, but this has way more demand. Are you trying to say the amount they had must be low? If so that seems to make it a valid good deal since supply is scarce.

How does any of that help for anyone who wants one for this summer or a gift for father's day? I can see waiting for a bucket fan, it takes a bit more effort to use properly then this 4inch clamp. Also about 'TRYING' to flip, check the comments in the HD thread. At least two comments note they bit the bullet and bought reseller markups. the more time that passes the more they will sell at their desired price, the market will decide if that is truly $50 or closer to $35.

Your time not using it over a year is worth something. As you noted prices tend to go up, so time is not on your side in this case. You even state it will probably be msrp $25 next year, so DTO's standard discount of like 10-20% off could apply plus a 20% off day for $16+7 ship. You saved a grand total of $4 to not use it over a year or give as a gift. Sometimes pinching every penny is not worth it and you should treat yourself.

The TU's for this deal are not because of a $50 1/2 impact or a $30 fan that was $20 last week. We all get you all are willing to wait forever if necessary, not everyone will do that, especially with inflation catching up to us all.

Now I'm going to go and make a necklace out of mine, with them all running full blast, while drinking random juice drinks, and post on all the social media pages. That alone will probably get me a truck or at least some free Ryobi tools.

Can someone shed light on the difference between these?
P290:
https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ver/p/P290

PID01KMX:
https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...p/PID01KMX

P238:
https://www.directtoolsoutlet.com...ver/p/P238

I can't seem to find any comparisons online. The PID01KMX doesn't seem to have much info at all.

Thanks!

P290 is hydraulic, so it's much quieter, but you give up power.

PID01KMX is their new entry-level one. Good for basic screwdriver tasks, but relatively weak.

P238 is the brushless and most powerful model.

Of the 3, I'd recommend the P238. It's bigger and heavier than the others, but I prefer to have more power and not need it than not enough power and need it. The P238 has dealt with everything I've thrown at it, and it easily removed lug nuts too. Be sure to get the HP+ batteries with the additional contacts as those are needed for max power.

I have another question about the DTO tools. If you buy Ridgid from them do they still allow you to register and get the Lifetime Service Agreement?

The factory blem stuff has the same warranty as the equivalent new Ridgid item. The refurbished stuff has a reduced warranty and doesn't qualify for the lifetime.

DTO is a very reliable company and, in fact, they are owned by TTI which owns Ryobi, Milwaukee and other power tool brands. I have ordered from DTO since May 22 and I have received those orders in a week or less.
I totally agree...great company.

Whoa - Thank you! I was leaning towards the P238 also - I don't need a whole lot of power, but agree 100% with you would rather have it on tap and not need it than v.v.

Batteries are a whole different story - I have like 6 batteries - so won't be buying any new for a while. Just trying to find all the cool toys to use them with.

My tool collection mostly consists of Ryobi and Metabo HPT (and Hitachi, which became Metabo HPT). I have 4x 4Ah, 4x 3Ah HP+, and 2x 1.5Ah batteries. I use all my Ryobi tools, but the ones I use most are my 3Gal vac, small hybrid fan (which I got for more than $30, the last deal was ridiculously good), 150W inverter, cut-off tool, JobPlus (have different heads), and circular saw. I also have some 40V stuff (mower, string trimmer, 300W inverter) that I use all the time. The nice thing with Ryobi is their massive lineup. They're not the most powerful, but I've found them to take a beating just fine and I got way more tools than I could've from any other ecosystem for the money. My Metabo drill and impacts have replaced my Ryobis for daily use, but I still keep my Ryobis for backups.

Thanks - might get the 150W inverter as well. I have a bunch of ryobi - and still have some from the blue era. but i definitely do NOT use these things as much as someone that knows what they are doing. very very light work.

The inverters are super useful. I bring them camping all the time.
My circular and recip saws are blue (still have my working blue drill too). I've made a lot of stuff with that almost 2 decades old blue 5.5" circular. Just got a new blade recently to help a friend make some custom shelves and bookcases.

I got one of these from the deal a few weeks ago. I think its ok for battery fan but kinda lame otherwise. The breeze this (small fan) puts out is weak and concentrated. You need to be right in the central sweet spot to know its on. If the fan is 10' away you might as well keep your sweat rag handy. It is also LOUD. A Vornado fan puts out a veritable wind tunnel with practically no noise. This thing sounds loud as a hair blower. My pivot point is also lame. I tried sleeping with fan blowing at me and wake-up hot with fan blowing at the ceiling. The fan just slowly tilts-up on its own. Overall I'm sorry I bought the fan. If I was living in Lousiana in a power failure and mosquitoes snacking on me I would probably like this a lot. Otherwise get a Vornado.

Go 1/2" if possible, going from a 3/8 to 1/2 with an adapter might lose to much torque for certain applications. But, truly just buy the 1/2" and go buy some 1/2" Impact sockets you can get a full set from Harbor Freight for deep both Metric and SAE for 50 bucks 25 each set or if you dont need deep there are cheaper and since you said not really a mechanical person you will probably never break one from them. The Impact sockets are black and if its some thing like a lugnut or a lag screw do not use the chrome sockets they are harder metal and will be likely to shatter and explode with an impact wrench.

This guy.....right here! 👏

Ordered the 18" Air Cannon. I hope those ships.

Cant count how many times this came in clutch in la. Sometimes we get blackouts in hot summers and this keeps us sane till it comes back.

I work in a clinic and our ac blew up. Brought this to work and made life bearable for everyone for those few days till the repairs.

I put it next to me while im outside charging my car oils and im under the car (dont have a shaded area or garage for this)

You won't be disappointed . It will just be a matter of time till you need it.
