Best advise is use up all your TF "saved" stuff and move on.
Get your own unlocked (even your old Tracfone for no extra) phone upgrade and use Red Pocket, for example. But test your target carrier for talking *and* data downloads, not just a speed tests, first. Such as with friends and family at the locations (cell sites) you require.
Note: Consider tethering types, which RP allows; but depends on phone and some custom settings. And non-Google voice mail, any transcribing fees if required, WiFi calling etc...
Days of wasted time thinking escalation and many proofs of purchase, I thought they would at least return everything onto my last phone. They actually lied to me on several occasions about management, etc..., verified.
They keep close records of what you have and this I learned over tears with them. Then the acted like there was no way they could verify what just got zeroed out.
And no I didn't lose it with them, nor use profanity; but that wasn't easy.
I used to post Tracfone deals. They can not be trusted.
I thought they just had bad service; for the lowest price. I thought one could just use the online site. I was wrong. Sooner or later they will get ya.
Tracfone has no integrity. Look up the law suites against them. My guess is they were pissed about being held accountable for there miss deeds. But I never got anything not was party to any of those previous lawsuits. I think they forgot you can't just mess people over.
Now my issue with bundled minutes/Data/SMS, regardless of different ADDED TF BS rules should not be cited for losing everything I had. You know; if TF or via a qualified seller then trades out a failed phone then you don't lose your bundle. Therefore using online transfer and it's open ability should never be able to screw you; for trying to avoid TF's terrible reps. Online activation could have denied not only the transfer; but the ZEROING out of everything ANYWHERE. You don't need the hassle of calling them directly.
AND my point is I had proof, they had proof and they could have just put it back, or many other ways to make it right with me, with no harm, no foul. OUR PROOFS ARE USELESS. Instead they basically said FU no, and also wasted a lot of time. Where one has to try, at this point! Claiming corporate said no. Then I caught them lying to me about corporate/escalation. At that point trust is gone. NOTHING justifies not AT LEAST fixing my phone back like it was, and without lying about not knowing exactly what it just had on it only moments ago. And I gave them many easy chances to fix it.
I had many other problems with TF over the years, getting shorted here and there and kept putting up with them for the price. But I also used WiFi to supplement a lot more then. They TOLD ME they wanted me to just buy more than the bundle I already bought!
They want customer that can't add. Do the math. With Tracfone anything other than yearly bundles cost's more. TF practically confessed to me they only want stupid customers. Where it would cost less to go with another provider than TF.
Now Red Pocket is way better. Use up your TF stuff before you lose it. Get your own phone and a better used one if you're on a budget, and try Red Pocket. No I don't work for them.
So what TF'er are doing is saying, "say it ain't so". And I get that. You got stuff saved up in spades. You think they're just low customer service. You'll see. you can not trust them. I used to think they just stink on the CSR's; but protect your stuff. Nope they are only out for themselves. And kids that is not business 101. You HAVE to able to trust them for your prepayment. Especially on bundles; which is the only argument for TF and now they failed that.
Zero trust.
Therefore the only warning you now have, is former customers, posting what happened to them.
I'm sorry I ever posted TF deals here on SD for you TF guys. As many have reported losing what they paid for, with TF. And TF worked it so your stuck, pounding sand.
